POTL never confirmed yellow was Rossi, a lot of people seem to be suggesting this, but the confusion was caused by a hypothetical wishlist post on here. I can't remember who it was but they said something along the lines of:

I hope in the next few days POTL says (and then they put the following in a quote bar):

"Of course Rossi was yellow"

He actually never said anything of the sort.

That is exactly what he said, I just cannot believe we are still talking about this... KEEP UP!

Will someone back me up and Mods if you want the blue and yellow talk to end just stick it in a sig!!!

Levy once said that we never take loan players unless there is a permanent option. There's some suggestion that Fraiser Campbell was otherwise, but that was more an emergency loan rather than a strategic one.

As City seemed to be the one pushing for a permanent transfer anyway, I'd say there's a very very good chance there is. Maybe less so with Yago, but who knows.

What the loans mean though is that we've filled 2 of our 5 target areas, without spending a penny on fees. So all the more money left for Diarra, a RFw and a CB.

wow I know levy drives a hard bargain but surely not even he could get those two players without paying a loan fee!

Dan - I hope you're right BUT....

a) what are the chances we will actually sign Adebayor permanently? I think he'll be gone at the end of the season since we can't afford his wages. Perhaps we'll agree another loan deal but that's unlikely. If he does well for us (and I think he will), he'll be playing for someone else next season (Inter, Bayern, Madrid, etc.). That's why any excitement at this signing is dampened considerably by the fact that it'll be a short term stay. Effectively, we are serving as Man City's shop window.

b) we probably had to pay something by way of a loan fee, maybe only £2m - £3m. Nevertheless, there should still be plenty of funds available for a couple of permanent signings, I hope...

Has there seriously only been three minor snippets of ITK since yesterday morning? Yesterday's thread had more than 900 posts and we're already up to 70 in this thread.

Are people just quoting ITKs in this thread but not submitting them to the RO? I ask because I don't have the time to sift through every single post in these threads and I don't have access to the search function.

You don't have to read the whole discussion thread. If there is any actual ITK it goes in the RO. The discussion thread is just people, wait for it, discussing the itk (or sometimes lack of).

According to the Beeb, Arse have offered 6m + add ons for Cahill - rather a tight opening bid but if we do want him (has any itk mentioned him or is it wishful thinking on here?), we'd better move sharpish.

I'm still hoping, almost expecting, a Levy special signing soon maybe from the leftfield but a blinder none the less.
Adebayor is a fantastic deal and hopefully he'll settle here.
I remember there being similar fears when Keano joined, as folk were worried that he wouldn't stay long due to his previous, frequent moves.
Coupled to that, concerns about being able to match his stupid Leeds wages when that little deal expired.

We (the fans) helped him make the place home for a while so let's do that with Ade.

dawson could EASILY be improved on. there is a reason we ship so many goals when king isnt in the team.
