Tottenham are mulling over a loan deal for Juventus striker Amauri.

The Londoners are keen to add a new forward to their squad with the imminent departure of Robbie Keane and are now considering a move for the Brazilian-born Italian. With time fast running out for deals to be done Tottenham are happy to sanction a temporary move to ensure their squad is complete for the rest of the season.

Amauri has become surplus to requirements in Turin and has only featured eight times for the Bianconeri in the league this season. His chances of adding to that tally have been diminished further by the arrival of Luca Toni a fortnight ago and he has been told that he can look for a new club.

While he is far from being Tottenham's first choice, the lack of a transfer fee and his eligibility to play in the Champions League makes him a real option for manager Harry Redknapp to consider.

right now i'd be delighted andy carroll. If he were black-like drogba or adebayor, even Jones, we'd all be comparing him to these players saying he's exactly what we need. But because he's white, english and has shit hair we're turning our noses up. I think he's perfect for us.

BBc saying Stoke have accepted a bid from Sunderland for Fuller.

The chances of off-loading Keane seem to be getting slimmer by the day.

Can we keep it to ITK, please? For those remotely interested in Amauri, I've started a new thread with CAS's post.

What another one? He's survived so many that one more won't make any difference.

This would be a whole nother level though. Selling one of their own, the great new hope, I think the Geordies would go into meltdown.

I'll interpret that Keane itk as a reference to Gold and Sullivan.

I really do think that RK will go to WHam but I think it is seriously short sighted that we would wait to get rid of him before making a signing.

Just tell him he won't be played so go find another team.

You just know the only way we're gonna ship Keane off to WH is if we buy Carlton Cole off them. The dildo brothers have got to be the crappest owners ever.

I'd assume from the "pimping like a cheap whore" that we're pretty desperate to get rid. I hope that means we're close of a deal for one of the hundred mentioned strikers. Dare I say it? Suarez? Oh damn.

As has been said many times Keane's departure is very unlikely to have any baring on other players coming in. With him gone we'd still have four strikers so we could easily lose him from the squad without having a replacement lined up.
