Apologies for the infrequency of these updates, this has been the busiest January i've ever known and I really haven't had the time to do much.

Recession? What fucking recession?

I was sitting on the train yesterday opposite a really sexy Thai bird.

I thought to myself, "Please don't get an erection. Please don't get an erection."

But she did. :-|

Yesterday saw us actually make a signing and there was plenty of ITK to get through so we'll wade straight in.

Scutch whored this from FTL

Who BEN
Date 17th Jan
Site FTL
Fabiano closing in: should happen
Our favourite tree-dweller has spoken!

Then, here on SC, adiepf posted........
Who: adiepf
Where: Spurs Community
When: 18/1/11

text from source 00:10am...

"bud theyve agreed a fee for suarez, dunno what it is but its agreed, crazy shit is they want fabiano as well!!...pav & keano are gonners...fucked up eh?"
For a minute there I thought he said Pav & Keane were gooners.......

Scutch then took his whoring over to SO and brought us this.....
Who dazzaherring
Date 18th Jan
Site Spurs Odyssey

* For the record, dazzaherring has proved in the past he has very good connections with Liverpool. His latest ITK offerings are what we figured, but :

Posted a couple of days ago :
Liverpool have now approached Ajax tonight for Suarez.
Offered Babel plus cash. Deal expected to be worth around 18 million apparently!

Posted today :
The offer from pool was accepted.

I can only assume we don't want him. We want a lone striker and suarez doesn't fit the bill.

Let's hope we get fabiano or at least have something else up our sleeves
It's all muddy to me and I get the feeling it isn't about to get any clearer...............

The adiepf ITK-Ticker rolled on when he posted this here on Spurs Community.........
Who: adiepf

To be specific for the naysayers and moaners....

Yesterday afternoon my sources company were instructed by spurs to find temporary & put into place the searches for permanent (lease) accomadation for steven....

The club wouldn't do that if his signing was a formality....he's at the club now & it should be announced today....

Like I said they don't instruct my sources company unless its for their player....hence he has signed

Hope this is clear?
Clear as a bell and in fact his signing was later confirmed on the OS.

CorlukeModric then gave us an update with this.........
Who: CorlukaModric

Haven't been able to get on here for a few days as ive been busy with work!
Just had a look through the itk and peanut's update no.87 is spot on. Harry prefers Fabiano but Levy would rather fork out on Suarez. Sevilla asking for 8-12 million for Fabiano. 8.5 mill with add ons. Still in for Oxlade Chamberlain. This one is interesting, Southampton say they want him to go to the club where they feel he will develop the best. I was told City Arsenal and United are ahead of us on this one at the moment as we have been chasing other deals such as pienaar and becks. Becks deal is off for the moment however this could still happen.
Can't see us signing the Ox.
And then Sgt_Wilson told us that........
Who: Sgt Wilson

When: 18/1/11

My brother-in-law is a football agent (can't name names) and he told me some things. Believe what you like I don't claim to be ITK I just hear things now and then.

Pienaar - He never considered Chelsea as a viable option, he always planned to stick by his word. The fee was £2.5m which could rise to £3m (well done Levy). I should also add that his wages are definitely not £70k a week.

Fabiano - We are definitely in for him, we will press on this week with that one. Harry is worried about his age but he sees £10m as a good deal regardless. Fabiano is also not totally sure about moving to England.

Suarez - We will make an offer in the next few days, if we end up with him and Fabiano expect Pav to leave this month if not in the summer (Harry still finds him difficult to work with).

Rose - He wants to join another Premier League club, h thought the Arsenal game would be a launching pad and he is tired of waiting for his chance.
Launching pad? One screaming volley and the world is his oyster......
And then adiepf came back on and posted this.......
Who: adiepf
Where: Spurs Community
When: 18/1/11

had a word with a few other ITKs regards this...

been told tonight that pav man & keano have been given the green light to go to sunderland should they wish

the full £18m, 12pav 6keano.....they have no wish to push pav, theyve explained they will be bringing in another striker & it will limit his chances...

the club really do like the boy, english isnt great but a really good lad, team mates love him
And that was that. Or so I thought but in the early hours, even more was posted.

And here it is.........
latest from my source....

Havent agreed a fee with Ajax but are still in talks.....If we dont get Suarez we'll be going after Fabiano/Cardozo and I'm sure a few others but I dont see Levy putting up the money Sevilla would want to get him on a permanent deal. Maybe a loan would work out but I havent heard if we've actually taken the steps to do that. No buy on price if we spend 10 million on Fabiano and thats something Levy has been known to be looking for with all the players we've brought in when they've cost a good amount to land.
And finally this.......
Posted earlier on SO by lagosspur which was also confirmed as "spot on" by archibald

It's not really news as such, and it may have already occurred to some people... but it was confirmed to me by a close friend (100% trustworthy and connected) who spoke to one of the coaches last weekend (I honestly don't know which one, they're keeping that close to their chest) that, and I paraphrase:

Harry wants to sell one striker minimum and would not replace that one for the sake of it (i.e. like for like) as he believes that the current 4 striker rotation is too much.

Apparently, now that he is favouring one striker plus VdV, he believes that 3 + VdV is sufficient and he would struggle to keep more than 3 happy.

He will not buy a striker purely to replace Keane (who is expected to leave one way or another) - he would be content with 3. However, if a very good striker became available, then he may even let two go with just one coming in.

There was also a suggestion that CL availability of a new striker does not enter into the consideration as that is not the priority at this time - as reported in one or two other places. The focus is getting the right striker for the coming years, regardless of availability for CL this season.

he then added

Re: a few of the comments that this means no new striker... not necessarily. The point was just that Keane leaving does not mean one in, one out. The only 'desperation' mode would come in if two strikers were to leave (i.e. Keane and Crouch or Pav) which Harry believes would then leave us short.

I understand from this that Keane going is a gimme and irrelevant to other transfer business (except for the welcome boost of money) and that the linkage is between a new striker coming and one of the 2 'big men' (neither of whom ever win headers!) going.

By the way, I got another message today that was short and sweet, but basically said the club is over-the-moon about Bent moving to Villa as we had not expected him to leave Sunderland anytime soon and with the clauses we had in his deal this is a nice little windfall that they were simply not expecting at all... basically paid for Pienaar!

I'm sure one of the RR's will shortly be adding these to the Read Only.

This morning, I tried that thing today at the petrol station where you try and stop the pump bang on what you want to pay, but let it go a fraction too late and it stopped on £20.03.
"Bollocks!" I shouted and walked into the shop to pay.
"Unlucky, mate," smiled the attendant, who'd seen what I'd done. "Don't worry about the extra."
"Cheers, mate," I said as I handed him my tenner and fucked off.

Sadly, COYS has been down for quite a while and it looks like being down for a large chunk of today too. Get well soon COYS.

heres hoping for a shedload more ITK and another signing to top it off!

I can still see us getting a 4th striker in once Keane leaves, Harry aint stupid he knows we need goals up front.

Thought that was only where Spurs were concerned?!

Yea we are, we're half heartedly bidding for him to get the transfer delayed till the last day. You see we've got this agreement with Sky, where we get half of Sky's earnings from the Sky Sports News Deadline Daaay! supershow if we provide a number of deals from 1pm onwards. Last year we asked for 70% of earnings if we could assure them of a deal past the deadline that would drag on for at least 36hours. Apparently that's how we paid for the VdV deal.

I see liverpool are linked with turning their attentions now to lukaku. No harm to Suarez but it's someone like lukaku that we need. He would be ideal in our system, and if fabiano joined he would be the prefect tutor for lukaku.

I met a fairy today who granted me one wish. "I want to live forever," I said.
"Sorry," said the fairy, "I'm not allowed to grant wishes like that."
"Fine," I said, "I want to die when Spurs sign a new striker!."
"You crafty ****!" said the fairy.

Like I posted yesterday, that last post by CristuanBaler is spot on. Keane will go somewhere that has no bearing whatsoever on what we do.
The key is that we are looking seriously at centre forwards and will attempt to bring one in. If that is the case then A.N Other striker will move on, be it now or in the summer. Alas leaving 3 +1

So the Pav to Sunderland could be on the cards.....I thought I had read on here that Wolfsburg were in for him as well.

It makes sense to me though, Harry must have a tough time keeping 4 strikers happy so rotating 3 with VDV in behind and now adequate cover in Pienaar who can play the in behind the striker is probably part of Harry's window equation. All were missing now is the new striker.

they should be looking to get crouch out the door! at least pav can score!! what does crouch do?? And i dont give 2 hoots about bla bla he sets up vdv. VDV will score with a better forward next to him that is more of a goal threat. work time for me!!

I disagree I'd rather have Crouch...everyone seams to forget he scored the goals that got us through the qualifiers and into the champs league... He can also retain posession unlike Pav... Pav is a good sub to have but if we can get better not bothered if he goes...
