This is the case in the Middle East as well. People, generally, have a limited knowledge of the wider game and play FIFA more than they should. They think everyone should go to Barcelona or Real Madrid because it makes their FIFA team better and the same handful of teams are always shown on TV. Someone told me they hadn't heard of Spurs before the last few years (yet he claims to be a Liverpool fan, who does he think Liverpool play every week? there are 19 other teams!), but since the CL campaign he has started taking notice.

True, and PES, FM etc..

I don't see us getting Paulinho and Bernard because thats close to 40m of expenditure without us having a striker.

Plus as others have said dealing with South American clubs is tricky at best so doing both deals would take a lot of work.

Going from our previous record we know that Levy tends to find money for deals like Paulinho who are likely to earn us many millions in the future if he moves.

To be fair, I actually had a dream of Paulinho and Kaká staying in my house (yeah, I know, but it seemed so plausible when I was asleep....). Kaká told me that he was very interested in moving to Tottenham, but Madrid would not allow it. He went on to tell me that Paulinho was for certain though.

Yeah, but the last dreams on here involved Barry and Nani. Funnily enough if I had to give odds on that or these Brazilian link things happening I'd go for the first one.

Anyway, keep calm people and sail on down through the middle. If you don't get your hopes that high then you won't get too disappointed. (y) Give a little whistle and enjoy.

The interest in AVB is no bad thing, as long as it motivates Levy to splash out at least modestly, for fear of losing him.

Sure, but £15m + another few million on top? Surely too steep for Levy.

It alll depends on who we can get out the door. IF we are wanting 2 new main strikers, one or both of Defoe and Ade will be gone which may fund part of the deal also.

If we have spoken to the agent of Paulinho and Bernard with the genuine intention of signing them, I'm going to get selfish and want Levy to go all out for Damaio as well, get the fantastic four (brazillians)...
Just maybe, if Leandro see's the other two sign, knowing Sandro is already here, it'll make him keener to join the party???
But then just maybe it's too early and I need to wake up properly before posting... ;)

I like the look of sandro paulinho and dembele in a 3 man midfield only if the 3 forward players are all natural goalscorers who can create. So something like this;
Lloris
Walker Kaboul Vertonghen Coentrao
Paulinho Sandro Dembele
Bale Leandro Villa

i promise you that dream will come to reality if you sleep with a nicotine patch on, as i am trying to give up smoking i once slept with a patch on. And i honestly had the most realistic dream in my life, seeing numbers, formation, even at the training ground discussing tactical stuff with AVB.

I think you're right.

Plenty of other clubs are likely to be interested as well so wouldn't surprise me if both players end up going to an oil-funded team rather than us.

Looks good.... but the money to bring in these changes means we need to sell a lot more incl Defoe and Ade..
