Instead of wasting time reporting PSG and Real we should be spending all our energy getting in AVB's top targets, something which would go along way to convincing him and Bale to spurn their suitors.

No reason we can't do both, Levy's lawyers have to keep busy somehow.

More over, we should do it for the integrity of the game. Yes RM and PSG maybe be giants of the game, but that is no excuse for them to act like massive scumbags though.

Either way, PSG and RM have just given levy a Brucy Bonus in cash terms, Levy will not let this go and he is not someone you can make a mug out of.

Those club partnerships have worked wonders for us:

Real Madrid - Take our best player the first summer and then tap up our new best player who is even better the next
Inter - Drag out Leandro saga for years, now by some accounts basically tapping us up begging us to buy him (for too much money of course).

May as well sign a partnership deal with Arsenal.

Real Madrid Lust After Welsh Star.

If headlines of that sort are being published world wide I don't see the problem.

Madrid courting Bale is providing THFC with the sort of exposure Levy could only dream of.

Maybe that's the benefit of the agreed partnership following Modric's transfer.

Don't think that these statements aren't carefully worded to provide doubt and uncertainty. For instance, Zidane said "If Bale wants a move, he should..." Wriggle room built in, I'm afraid.

11pm Monday 2nd September

Which is still 77 days away - enjoy the ride (y)
Day has now been booked off work!!! Ready for levy time!!

Surely there's a gap in the market for 'levy time' hats, scarfs and other merchandise (I work in marketing, maybe I can run with this haha)

Levy Time  I hate that saying, *levy time* only happened one time, and that was about 3 years ago.

I doubt we'd do anything without solid proof. When we got Liverpool to make that donation to our charity, we must have had them by the nuts so I imagine we know what the rules are and which options are available to us.

Zidane's quotes are most certainly proof enough and that is without the information and contact with Bale that 'may' have occurred.

I'm afraid this would be the equivalent of a poor kid blaming a rich kid of bullying him at school. Oh, and the rich kid is also the grandson of the man the school is named after.

Come on, we've benefitted from this type of arrangement also haven't we? I mean what about Khumola from SuperSport? We would not of had him as a player if it wasn't for this sort of thing.......

Integrity of the game? We are taking about the same game that has Sepp Blatter as its leader...

Yeah, Levy is no fool but be tried this with Liverpool and Keane and United and Berba, what did he get? A letter from Liverpool, and wrists slapped. All that's going to happen is the next time there are some bargains going at Real and PSG they won't take his calls on deadline day.

Well I should think people like Zinedine Zidane should be easy targets for a tapping up complaint.

Couldn't be any more obvious either. At least with Bale we don't have his whole national team telling him to join a club. When Cesc went to Barca it was crazy, he must have been getting it 24/7. And oddly he managed to return like a saviour, rather than as a money grabbing manwhore.
