I swear our odds have hardly changed over the last several weeks. I put £40 on a while ago and it was 34/1, and the odds are still pretty much identical to that now.

That's cos the bookies are laughing so hard that someone actually bet on it that they forgot to lower the odds.

I only know them as wing forwards. I think I've read people say Chadli can do it. (Apparently even Dembele used to be a striker? - wonder if we'd had more decent options in midfield he may have been given a go when our strikers were misfiring... Anyway)

The one thing about this Bale saga that I'd find hard to stomach is us selling him in the last few days of the window. And it looks like that's the way the wind is blowing to me. Sad but very predictable.

Don't think Lamela and Willian have ever played up front. Dembele was bought as a striker and has gradually moved back ever since...prior to joining us he had played up front, on the wing and behind a striker, but since he's joined us he's played as an orthodox centre mid or a Carrick-style deep ball-player. Versatility like AVB wants, ay.

As long as we get a Lamela/terterler ersum other attacking player in beforehand and sure up the defence, meh.

Was reading reports yesterday that said Lamela can play the No.9 and has done sometimes for Roma. Versatility there, but then again Willian can play all across the midfield and also in the wide positions, but probably not the absolute focal point.

Lamela Soldado Bale

Is just a tad scary. It seems too good to be true but if it happened, we might just be pushing for that title with our added strength in midfield.

Bring in Sandro and Kaboul to the equation and I'm getting weak at the knees.

This transfer window is officially the best we've had if we end up with that front 3.
