Some bad news for you all:

Via Coys: This guy has been in the same restaurant tonight as Harry and managed to get to chat with him for a bit.

Right just had 10 15 minute cinversation. Firstly what a fantastic nice charming man. Not sure he wants the hassle of England for starters. Saurez or what ever he's called said he's Scouse bound and mire a second striker. Adebayior too expensive and City would never sell. Dzecko we never had a chance. Wound my Scouse wife up and said we were getting Torres. Tried for info but was very coy

As if Harry will be honest and open about transfer dealings with some bloke he met at dinner. These are multi million pound deals with the potential to make millions more.

I work in the restaurant harry was at tonight. He didn't quite finish his alphabetti spaghetti, the letters he left on his plate were T-O-R-R-E-S.

As I cleared his plate he looked at the letters, looked at me and winked and said "they'd look triffic on the back of a spurs shirt!!"

don't shoot the messenger.

Not sure how much we can believe that, even if Harry did say that it could be smoke and mirrors. However, I do wonder if Forlan and/or Vucinic may be our backup plans if Suarez goes to Pool.

Skydren says 'pool in for Suarez yet are wages are not a problem....I think there might well be if they offer him 90k a week as they did with Cole...

Interesting reaction from United fans about this possible signing. Most would take him back in a heartbeat. Also why does signing Neville end the Spurs career of Corluka?

What, ManU fans would take Phil Neville back in a heartbeat ? Seriously ?

The vast majority I've spoken with in the last couple of days have said they never should have sold him and would have him back at the minute mainly due to his versatility. One even joked that if he did well for us that they'd buy him off us in the summer. How I laughed at that one!

Too lazy of a player to play as a lone striker, only does well in a 4 4 2 because Defoe opens up the space with his runs/movement.

Dont really want to get into a debate about him, I just cant stand him as a player.
I disagree he played well in the for russia with arshavin behind him under hiddink, i think he needs a run of games
It wouldn't work - Forlan and vdV play exactly the same role. Uruguay line up:

Cavani-----Suarez
------Forlan

Cavani is their #9, Suarez the poacher and Forlan the #10. Of the 3 if anything we need Cavani as he's the only one capable of playing as a lone forward ahead of vdV.

Shortest, less aerially able, striker force in history? No great pace there either (although Forlan isn't a slouch).

It's an agreement but not sure it's first refusal. If we offer his buy-out clause price (£24m) we may be able to do business for Cavani now.

Forlan has played up front by himself for Villarreal with rossi behind and plays upfront for madrid now with Aguerro behind now and played a free role up front for Uruguay where he dropped deep quiet a bit

He has been getting a run of games (Starts against
Twente/Chelsea/Newcastle/Fulham).......and he's done jack all in the past 2 games he's started. Villa are said to be after him in the mail, if we get above 10 million for him I'd sell immediately. But its foolish to let 2 strikers go in 1 window, however if we were to bring in 2 to replace him and Keane I'd be all for it.

Yeah maybe, Just passing on though for the forum

Now updated (without much formatting as on Blackberry) in ITK Read Only.

Maybe I'm being generous allowing it (thanks for passing on fazza), maybe the wine I'm having now after consecutive long days at work is affecting my judgement, but it's there anyway.

Besides, gotta have a bit of 'I met so and so at the airport / restaurant / pub and he said X,Y,Z' ITK every window

What did "and mire" another striker mean in that last piece of ITK ?

Redknapp admires another striker ?

Just seen this on a different forum

"So one of my relatives knows I am a massive spurs fan so he forwarded me this email, he works for Haven Advisors in Delaware in the states who manage contract negotiations (sport management company). The email says specifically "No Forwarding, Internal Only" which I laughed at.

EDIT: Cant post screencap of email because post count <5, I had to mostly blur it out anyway because it contains names, addresses etc. Long story short Lass Diarra is in contract negotiations with Spurs."

against newcastle he was unlucky not to score, and fulham gave us no space between their midfield and defence, meaning our midfield created fuck all

and wasn't redknapp the one who criticised rafa for subbing keane all the time saying that strikers need time to form partnerships and for confidence,

im just saying other than defoe, he is the best of a bad bunch

Yeah recently, but overall he hasnt been playing as much as he wants to and a couple of weeks back it was said that he could be available for 15 million which is too expensive but perhaps we've talked Madrid down in their valuation of him?
