To a certain extent you are right - but it's impossible to lay all the blame at his door for the whole team playing badly in cup final and various games and that blame also lies with Jose. However, he was a "senior" player at the club, supposedly a leader (ha, ha) to drive everyone on. As you say he should have been concentrated on his job & not manipulating a move which looks more and more likely now with the amount of total unprofessional behaviour from the K*n*
As the most valuable player in the team, the driver, goal getter and the creative spark, a £160m striker he still managed to get easily played out of the game. I lay the blame at Jose’s door for what he had done to the team but almost equally on Kane for doing nothing on the field. As someone said on here Harry Kane hasn’t matched Harry Kane’s ambitions. He could have easily been a European Champion at club and international level now - if he’d figured out how to figure in the respective games.

Yeh because its very easy to get rid of dead wood, like Winks , Sissoko, CCV . Aurier et al so lets just spunk up another 13 million

£13m in football terms isnt huge figures. He has built a good reputation in Italy because he only has one year left.

Aurier and Sissoko situations are absolutely nothing like his situation would be

Never thought I'd say it but I'm bored of the whole saga now. He may get his move, he may not. Personally I hope he does and the club of course gets what they value him at. I think he'll be a shadow should he stay and never perform way he has done. Our itk have said Nuno and Fab want him gone and it's Levy (rightly) standing firm on price. The disharmony that can be caused going forward is quite worrying. If he stays and Nuno suspects he isn't giving his all, is he droppable? And if not, how will likes of Hugo, Hojbjerg and Sonny feel? Honestly feel City need to hit this value that's gets them otherwise can't see anything but Kane's shadow darkening any progress Nuno and team make this season.

Add the fact that he tends to start the season slowly. If he starts and goes on a 4 or 5 game without scoring he will not get the leeway with fans that he has enjoyed previously.

Just a fun-fact, so we dont end up in the "he wasn't that good anyway" bag:
Harry Kane's longest ever goal-drought in Premier League is 3 games, we are entering his 9th season in the PL.

I have never seen the likes in Spurs, and I am far from sure I will see another player like that. He is truly world class.

This does not, how ever, take away the fact that he has disrespected the club, his teammates and the fans with his actions. No player is bigger then the club.

3 games isn’t ever. It’s last 5 seasons still decent lol.

This all feels so familiar. We’ve been here before so many times.

No we haven't, every big sale (bar Berbatov) has never been a much of a public shit show as this. And its entirely down to the Kane's, I don't even really blame City, they have clearly been spouted bollox to by those two helmets as well

Best case scenario -
HK signs for shitty
We get 150 mill
HK does a dance for joy and sprains his ankle, out to Chrimbo
HK back to fitness at Chrimbo and shitty get banned for ever for cheating in FFP regs
We buy back for 1 mill and erect bro as a statue to show our respect to a great agent
Simple

But you have to find someone who wants them and at least match their current wages or raise them.

Well lots of players leave for less money in order to actually play football. Not sure anyone would pay the players in question here any more than they are currently getting. They certainly wouldn't deserve it.

As I assumed, we have a lot of deadwood getting overpaid.

Still doesn’t change the situation that we cannot shift deadwood. It’s not as easy as you have made out.

That really surprises me. I was sure that it was more than that.

I totally agree though. He is World Class, and it is (was) an honour having him in a Spurs shirt.

My take is to an extent though that however good he is we have still not won anything.

Although I would feel aggrieved by him leaving, if we spend the money wisely we will add for more money to the squad than having him here.

Yes we will lose 20 to 30 goals a season. But leagues are not won by goal difference, and cup finals are not won by 20 goals.

If we can build a better squad and a 15 to 20 goal a season striker we will be better off in my opinion.

Shiteh only really need a 15/20 goal striker IMO to retain PL, but all they want to achieve is to have the best starting 11 in Europe.

I would love to have one of the best strikers in the world playing for us.

But I would rather have silverware. And having one of the best strikers in the world for the past 4/5 seasons hasn’t delivered that.

Carragher made the same point - we haven't won anything with him. Given the competition in the prem this season i dont see that changing in the next year or two so, by that logic, if we can get close to 130-140m for him and invest in 2 or 3 of the players mentioned in recent weeks by ITK - who are mainly all younger players - we can possibly build a squad to challenge in years 3,4,5. Harry will be one of the greatest players this club has had, not least produced, but the club will keep being here long after he's retired. Its just a shame to end this way. His brother should have written a £150m clause in his 6 year contract and none of this nonsense would have had to have played out in the public eye.
