Story was that apparently he went speaking to Newcastle behind the scenes, Levy bought him a Porsche and he was allegedly a ungrateful about it and sold it on almost straight away, which pissed off plenty of people at the club.
@KETTERING SPUR - it's a fact that was confirmed by Jol, so no idea why you are disagreeing with reality.
Apparently it went between them?Poch to Levy: ‘They think I’m the best manager in the world!’
Levy to Poch: ‘Do they? I don’t. Now fuck off.’
No one knows what is happening.
No one knows what is happening.
There is a lot of danger out there, ok?
I agree. He's seemed oddly tetchy and at times, fatigued. But so hard to say whether it's just a thing or not.Poch being burnt out would make a lot of sense, especially given how his character has changed over the last 8 or 9 months.
Yes, of course our expectation is that we will improve. It's a shit plan if it involves us getting worse.Unfortunately our expectation is we will improve from where we stopped. What if it meant we have to move backwards as we assimilate new players, key players leave, tactics change?
As this is a discussion forum, it's great to give our views on what could have gone wrong. But after the discussion, let's just support the team and stop the blaming of Poch, Levy or certain players.
My view is that Poch said he was rebuilding. Unfortunately our expectation is we will improve from where we stopped. What if it meant we have to move backwards as we assimilate new players, key players leave, tactics change? Poch still has things to learn. Maybe as he tries out his ideas, it's not working. He's stuck and frustrated. The players are frustrated. Poch us frustrated players are frustrated. The gloom is there as there's no solution. It will take a season to get there. It is rebuilding, even if it means we drop out of top 4.
So let's hope for Poch to get a solution and see some flowing football!
I imagine it was Poch's belief and objective to at this present moment be in a situation in which he had the team he wanted, minus any distractions with players he wanted out or players with contract issues.
The Eriksen and Toby situations both rumbled on, he probably accepted Rose was gone a long time ago, Wanyama has been around but again the club probably accepted he was done a long time ago.
I imagine all of these negative aspects have rumbled on and on and with every moment he thinks "right, now we can kick on" something else negative happens and each time it grinds him down more and more.
...and if players are grumbling it will only add to the weight.
He could be doubting whether he'll ever be free from the issues and it's dampening his usual positive outlook.
It’s all a bit odd with this news breaking too and mourinho being at the game Sunday for no reason at all
I do think the two seasons at Wembley really took it out of him physically and mentally. He looked exhausted by the end of last season. A manager staying six years at one club is almost a total rarity these days, probably for this reason entirely.Poch could just be facing burn-out, mental fatigue is a real thing. Maybe the guy wants to take an extended break and walk away from the game for a while? It is a pretty intense profession to be in really. Fucks knows...but this isn't the end. We are just getting started! Poch is the best thing that has happened to this club for a long while, but if he did leave then we would survive and carry on. I wouldn't start to panic yet really.
