I saw this thread and decided that it would be better for my health if I didn't venture in. Then I saw a poster in another thread comment that he was concerned about what VY had said. So I did a search and found this:

If just about anybody else had posted that, I would've reasoned that we've heard constantly about Poch having empathy with his players; and while he appears to take a hard line on those who put themselves before the team I would've considered it to be impossible for him to lose the dressing room. But VY said it.

Then I saw this....

.... and nearly shit myself.

Like most Spurs fans, I really hope that the obvious malaise that we've all witnessed on the pitch this year is something that is temporary and can be cured by Poch and the rest of his coaching staff. But I have to admit that I'm very concerned.

Thanks Val.

Just for clarity the comment regarding Mourinho was more speculated opinion, the original comment though regarding the dressing room, was very real....

So has there been any further ITK to back up ValYid's posts or Hercs legacy comments?

I can't see anything on this site, but what about Twitter and the other sites?

EDIT - lol, as I was writing this post, ValYid posted above

Would rather just rip the plaster off if this is true rather than a drawn out affair. These things tend to only go one way.

There should be a “very sadly agree” button

Hope it’s not true, but seems like there is a fair bit pointing towards it being true. Especially the awful form over the past few months.

If we are still playing like this 3/4 games after the break I’ll be really worried

Guys - yes Poch is the main man but its about time these players stepped up. Sick of hearing from them every week talking about challenging - get out and show it

Sunday will tell us a lot.

It’s fair to say the rot looked like it had set in even as far back as our last trip to Arsenal. We didn’t turn up at all.

If it happens again on Sunday the pressure really will be on Poch.

And he said the truth it in a very honest way.
I don't think being honest is the wisest choice as he
sorry but we are talking about 3 games in, where Poch has already stated GLC isn't ready yet. if you expected instant results because we spent money on 4 players, loaned 1 back, 1 was injured when he arrived, another arrived after having a 3 week holiday, and the other picking up an injury so early and thought we would be challenging straight off, then you are living in cloud cookoo land
I've stated previously that I thought we'd start this season slowly, I said that before the window shut. What's most concerning is the lack of intensity and desire in our performances. I would have accepted a defeat at City but I'm not accepting that performance at the weekend which is starting to become a trend, worryingly.

The new signings not being available is an excuse, we have more than enough quality to be better against Newcastle. This group of players have had a preseason, probably our best in years, but yet again were not ready.

The ones in cloud cuckoo land are the ones refusing to believe there are issues more than just getting new signings bedded in.

Over the last 12 months (definitely 6 months) Hercs has mentioned problems behind the scenes in various posts. You can go back and delve into the archives (if they're still available). Also, if I'm wrong on that, @Hercules can slap me down himself :)

Anyway, over the last few days Hercs posted a number of times with these being the most pertinent:

I fully agree, but I tend to look on the facts, and not as excuses. I just feel that there are too many issues behind closed doors, in light of what I addressed, just purely to put things in perspective.

I am as pissed off as many, but I try very hard to evaluate reasons. Last season, we all agree it was due to no transfers mainly. This is a big year for Poch. He will not have the luxury of waiting until November for everything to gel. I think his selections, and passive way we play, is way off what I expected this season. For example, you cannot play Winks, Sissoko as your two main defensive midfielders, with one to open up play. I can see why Lamela played. But with what I mentioned, then Son and Lucas, is total madness. But who could we have played? Sess? Dele? TN? Hence why I mentioned the points I did.

I think this is s very critical year for Poch.

And finally, in answer to the question...

"You think Poch has his heart on staying, has there been a fall out with Levy or players"

Sorry, can’t answer either way ?

Hercs did caveat some of his comments by saying there were/are injury and World Cup scheduling reasons that he haven't played particularly well over the last 12 months, but as you can see he also thinks there are 'problems' at the club too.

Totally agree no excuses we are lucky that we are not sitting in the table with two defeats because we should be, all this talk of injuries and out of season tournament's which are the same as for others.
What is the excuse for this season no tournament blues or pre European championship stress and burnout it's all a load of nonsense, the team is and has been underperforming for a while in which they lack desire, intensity and have lost the basics of defending along with sterile football that neither achieves much or excites.

Muchas gracias, I completely missed those. Yes I did know he had been suggesting things were not right for a while, primarily in regards to transfers etc, but I didn't see the latest batch. Good to see things are going well....

On a complete side note, I really, really hope if he does leave then we don't go anywhere near Jose. I don't see him winning anything with us and personally I think he is past his moment and will always be a ticking time bomb in the dressing room.

I was disappointed to be impressed by the look of Chelsea's team against Norwich. They looked like a young, vibrant team with a new purpose. They may not make it this season but I think they may be on the way up(unfortunately) and they even managed to offload Luiz to Arsenal for decent money.

I don't want to contemplate Poch leaving but the thought of him being replaced by Moanhino is just horrific.

£9m? He's not great but its crap money in todays market, he still had 2 years left on contract as well.

The more I think about it, the more I keep coming back to the international break. One way or another it will be sorted there.

Think there will be very honest talks with Levy and Poch and if his hearts not in it he leaves, if his heart is I think he will get all the time he needs from Levy within reason.

Do we think at this point Poch wants Eriksen to stay or go? Or any player with any uncertainty hanging over them?

Poch has to manage games, yes. But he also has to manage a squad and I can understand that on occasion, for whatever reason, he can’t pick his best team because he has to address a larger issue. Frustrating for all involved. Any player not playing always makes way for another player to take a chance anyway. He’s not putting out 9 or 10 man teams.

But there is no larger issue than winning a match, that's what I'm saying, and the only way we can do our level best to win a match, is by putting out our best eleven. We are the paying fans (the mug punters, some would say...) and we deserve to see the very best eleven playing their hearts out for us, for their team mates, for the shirt and for their own professional pride.

As fans, we don't give a toss about their contractual issues. We just want them to win every match with all their hearts as long as they play for us, and for the money they're paid, they should give us nothing less than 100% every time they run out onto the pitch in a Spurs shirt for all the reasons I've given.

Players come and players go. As long suffering fans, we know that but managers and players should keep their personal business off the pitch and their professional business firmly on it.
