He posted something on twitter but i couldnt tell if he was talking about people on the internet being overly dramatic is ridiculous, that theres serious issues behind the scenes is ridiculous or both. So therefore, let’s just call it 50/50 on whether he has or not.

Spent a bit of time looking at the results of last season and recalling the games. There were a lot more fine margins than people are allowing for here and the summer spending should be given a chance to rectify those once we get the next few days out of the way.

Some examples from my recollection...

United (H) De Gea - Man of the match
Bournemouth (A) Travers - Man of the Match and 2 sendings off
Liverpool & Chelsea (A) killer late own goals
Man City (A) played well but hungover from the week and City wanted it more
Chelsea in the cup - lost on pens after what would have been a victory on away goals the season before

Unforgivable defeats
Burnley (A)
Southampton (A)
West Ham (H) - Long range shot comes off

Call them excuses or whatever, I don’t care, but with the Champions League run going on as well as our Stadium move there were plenty of distractions and we were lacking that extra 10%. Even in our wins there were a lot of late goals.

Collectively it was a shitshow. Individually there are things that can be fixed.

Fresh slate time from a September 2nd. For players, management and fans alike. We need to pull it together to make sure when there is a fine margin we’re on the right side of it and not get distracted by all this Jose/losing the dressing room bollocks.

There were also a lot of fine margins the other way also though, where we collected more points than we really deserved to, especially early in the season.

yes but as you know, there is a chance of losing Eriksen and a hat full of others looking for a move. GLC clearly not match fit, TN same, RS injured....and yet some fans are blaming Poch.

It's absurd.
Ahh was waiting for this... are the players on low contracts and not wanting to resign Levy's fault or Pochs?

Eriksen is different, but none of the three are because of Levy/money!

Still going with the meltdown, are we? You people are beyond saving. Go and believe what you want. Us rational people will just be here laughing at you in 3 weeks time.
Rational people don’t book in their laughter...

I hope it works out. There are no guarantees but I believe he can do the job. It may not come together this weekend or in the next 3 weeks but I believe it will click again. I won’t be back here to laugh at those who presses the panic button early though. People react differently to situations. Keeps places like this... interesting...

How is Lo Celso "clearly not match fit"? I know that Poch has come out with his usual nonsense but GLC is no less fit than any other player at this stage of the season. Ndombele, the same.
How come other clubs manage to integrate new players straight away but we have to wait 6 months?

Im allowed to laugh when even the most pragmatic of people on here have jumped ship and me, normally the most pessimistic person you can find, is being reasonable.

It might not work out, but is there anything that will 100% work out? No. But this working out is as certain as anything. The european window os still open. Once that closes, it’ll settle down. Hopefully Eriksen leaves in the next few days so there wont be a black cloud hanging over us for another 4-9 months.

Because his fitness demands are the same as they were when we were playing the high intensity pressing game of two years ago. Let's face it, James Corden should be fit enough to play the turgid slow possession build up we implement now though.

Sorry I know it's early and im probably being slower than normal but is Trix getting that it's Pochs fault that Jan and Toby not signing new contracts?

So funny, I must be mistaken, but I thought I saw you mentioning that this thread only goes in circle repeating the same points over and over again. And then for a second, it almost seemed to me that there you were, repeating your same point yet again.

I like your pane al pane vino al vino approach. None of that "can't see the woods for all the trees" stuff that some optimistic posters are clinging on to.

He’s answered a question from someone with a (deserved) rant at social media for giving people the platform to make a crisis out of nothing. Mountain out of a molehill is the main gist I think.

No, I think Trix is basically saying that new contracts have been offered with good money on the table and it's Toby and Jan's fault that they haven't signed them.

Presumably Toby and Jan think they can get more money elsewhere.

Is it possible to link/quote the relevant bits?

Not sure how to imbed Twitter cleanly, so here’s old fashioned cut and paste;

@jetsetyid Hello mate, are some fans being dramatic or is there some serious issues behind the scenes?..."Poch wants to go ect"...

Jj’s rely;

Honestly I think it’s symptomatic of society these days & the way people think & behave. Platforms like twitter just exacerbate drama & make things appear worse.

I have disengaged with all the supposed expert opinions & people’s beliefs.

I despair on here as it’s ridiculous !
