Was anyone else surprised that we tried to sell Teemu? I thought he has been very good at centre mid and right back this season.

It does? You'd admit no possibility it could be made-up bollocks, then.

Funnily, just a couple of weeks ago we had a consensus that TT was on his way out. Then, Juande puts him at CM in a Poulsen-type role and he does a very good job. In fact, from what little I've seen of Poulsen, he's just a clogger and nowhere near as good a footballer as Tainio. Tainio's big disadvantage is that he appears to be made out of sponge biscuits.

As long as he stays unbroken, I can see him figuring strongly in Juande's plans for the rest of the season.

It seems quite convincing to me. I'm only going by the reports printed.

Your right in that you can not trust what you read or hear normally but this seemed quite true, especially where they say Birmingham pulled out 5 mins before end of window. I'm glad we didn't sell him though as I want him to play the same role he did against the Gooners in all our big matches.

I'm glad he stayed - regardless of all the circumstances. He always plays as if the game MEANS something to him. He's a battler

Well it wouldn't be the first time Birmingham have pulled out of a deal for one of our CM's at the last second.

As has probably been said in this thread that i haven't read - it's highly unlikely we tried to sell him, it's more like Brum (who, if my memory serves, were interested last window as well) enquired.

Anyways, he didn't go, he's still a YIDOOOO!

I think it was more of a case of a team enquiring about him and spurs being obliged to let Tanio know. doubt if we were actively looking to sell him

I agree.

SSN is the most reliable source of news since Mavis the Whisperer. Mavis was renowned for her up to the minute coverage of 'her-at-number-43', 'our-Kev-who's-in-the-navy', and 'that-new-Asian-family-what's-moved-in-next-door'.

Calm down

I like Tainio...when fit....but would it be so strange to try and offload a player that is injured so often if you can get a good deal.

Differentiate between "our club trying to sell" and "another club making a bid".

It'll make your lives easier.
