Personally I like the thought of winning this, I know it's a bit mickey mouse but to win it as it's newly formed is a little bit special in some ways as we would be marked in the history books as the first to win it.

Unfortunately we'd get pumped the moment we face a half respectable team in the knockouts
Roma
Feyenoord
Slavia Prague
Az

Or maybe even a lower ranked team now I'm reminded of last season's Europa defeat

We don't look like winners now, but as long as we qualify, things might look better come the knock out stages. Maybe a new manager, new players, different systems.
Of course it's much more likely we we won't win the trophy than we will, but that goes for all the trophies we're in currently in.
I can't remember the last time we were odds on to win a trophy. Maybe the 2002 Lge Cup final, and we blew that one bigtime

What does the answer to that question have to do with my original point, which, I repeat in case you didn't read it the first two times, was that I don't care who plays tonight. Not because I don't care about Spurs, but because I don't care if it's Lo Celso or Ndombele, Tanganga or Doherty, Dier or Sanchez. They're all disappointing and I have lost hope in all of them. Especially the manager picking them.

Just to make things clearer for you, I also don't care what the lineup is on Sunday either. Again, not because I don't care about THFC, but because at this point, they're all the same level of crap.

And on a side note, does it matter which shit European competition we're in next season? Will you tell your kids or grandkids about winning the inaugural Conference League in 25 years time? Don't think so.
I wouldn't tell my kids or grandkids about spurs winning any cup personally. But fair enough, you enjoy flexing that don't care about who is playing in this cup ???

This is an odd thread for you to be posting in then.

Hah, so my coffee shop owner just came over with his phone to show me a photo… it’s Mandic, the Mura winger‘s instagram photo with the headline, training in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium…‘ and said ‘This is my neighbour…‘ seems his dad owns the house next door back in Serbia…

Also it's one of those competitions that the world will laugh at us if we or Roma do not win it, but in reality, like any cup competition, will be more difficult as it goes on as we'll be playing mixed teams.

I totally agree. Win it once, get a trophy in, be the first winners of this competition - then let's never play for it again ?? onwards and upwards

If we win this and finish 10th I think we would have had a great season
To me its more prestigious than either of the domestic cups as it gives lots of ranking points plus EL qualification. It would be a brilliant trophy to win, especially as another first in our history
Alas I don't think we will win it or any other trophy

Id rather be laughed at for winning this thing rather than being laughed at for getting knocked out in the most comical of fashions.

Hope nobody minds, but given this thread is called "Team vs NS Mura" I thought this would be a good place to post the team I'd like to see tonight.

Apologies if I'm interrupting an avalanche of tiresome, overdone dribble about how much individual fans do and don't value this competition, how much they like the manager, and what they think our chances of beating a team we haven't actually been drawn against are.

Anyway:

Gollini
Rodon Romero Davies
Emerson Skipp PEH GLC Reguilon
Bryan Son

I'll start with an eleven that actually look like they give a fuck and take it from there.

Is this possible. ?? o_O

To be fair I’ll take a 10th place finish the way we are going lately

Very much doubt more than one of the kids will start as Nuno is under a lot of pressure doubt any will start, get a three goal lead :LOL:then Nuno might give Scarlett or Markanday some minutes.
Going by previous selections , Gollini, Romero, Doherty ,Rodon, Gil, Lo Celso, Davies , all bound to start, probably either Son or Kane but not both, that's eight need three more, write the names on bits of paper and draw them out of a hat , might pick a better team that way.

I Think Emerson gets some more game time tonight. Japh on the bench to cover both CB and Right back.
