Van der Vaart was so wasted on the right wing against Wolves. He must play in the middle... and perhaps even more importantly Robbie Keane must not play. Ever. Ever ever.

Crouch will be fine in the CL and i'll think he'll score a few goals. I've said before I think he'll be at his most effective in this competition as, unlike in the premier league, the majority of teams won't have come across a player like him before so won't know how to deal with him as well as premier league teams do.

Although Lennon has been pants lately, as with Crouch I think he'll be slightly more effective in the CL and I think all it'll need is one quality performance for him to get his confidence back.

Although Jenas has done well this season i'm looking forward to seeing Modric and VDV link up together, as long as Harry actually sorts our formation out properly and our players know where they're supposed to be.

I'd prefer to have Gallas at the back instead of Bassong, but that depends on how serious his injury is of course.

If Ekotto is injured then that throws the whole thing wide open; i'd stick Bale at left back (no he's not as effective but will anyone else do a better job there?) and put Jenas in the middle with Modric out on the left.

We can get away with playing one up front in Europe, and if that's the case then Crouch should be the one... But if we're ever going to play two up front at the moment then we should play Keane as playing Pavlyuchenko is more like playing with 10 men...
