Understand the thinking re Lucas, and would be interesting to see if that's a position he could play, but I don't think Chelsea away is the match in which to find out.

I actually think it would be the perfect game for it.

1. Because they won't expect it for a big game
2. Because everyone is expecting zero points from this one so no harm in taking a risk as anything gained is a bonus
3. Because I've been banging the Lucas at RWB drum long before this season and want it to happen as soon as possible

And people also may need to think about who were playing, and I don't just mean because it's a derby against those racist fucks from the blue side of London.

There's no doubt whatsoever that the likes of Bergwijn & Doherty absolutely earned their chance to be given another opportunity to impress. And Hojbjerg showed how important he is, even though many (myself included) think he is extremely limited as a player.

Like I say, yes there are absolutely players who have earned another shot. But are they right for the game?

Thankfully this place is full of people who know better than the guy who selects the team & my answer won't be too long coming.

I completely expect him to pick the same team, the only slight question mark is if he goes for Bergwijn instead of Lucas, although im expecting Lucas. I would be surprised if he swaps from the 3 in midfield for this and i would be surprised if picks Doherty over Royal despite how well the former played.

Lloris
Sanchez Romero Davies
Doherty Skipp Hojbjerg Sessegnon
Kane
Lucas Bergwijn

Makes sense. Kane is our best AM and already does a significant amount of creating opportunities with his passing even when he's the focal point of the attack.

Wouldn’t make too many changes, Dier if he is fit must play. Toss up between Doherty and Royal.

Lloris
Sanchez Dier Davies
Royal Skipp Winks Hojbjerg Reguilon
Kane Lucas

I think it’ll be:

—————————Lloris
——Tanganga—Sánchez—Davies
Doherty—Skipp—Winks—PEH—Reguilon
———————Lucas—Kane

Defend in numbers , counter attack with speed and get stuck in.
No mistakes, take our chances and enjoy the game.
Kane is getting better and morale must be high.
Lets beat these f***ers for once and not lose before we even kicked off.

—Lloris
——Tanganga—Dier-Sánchez
Royal—Skipp—Winks—PEH—Reguilon
———————Lucas—Kane

Dier central comands the back and balances us. If he plays we could havd a good day. Without him fingers crossed.

Whatever line up we can't afford to play Tanganga, he's cost us so many goals recently.
I know you might not like the player but but to say he has caused us so many without mentioning the countless times these goals are at times the result of him trying to clean up others' mistakes, or the times he has saved certain goals. The only problem I have with Tanganga is, he seems too clumsy at times, getting too close to players resulting in unnecessary fouls.

I like the lad and thought he might have a chance of making it but his lack of playing time which should have seen him go out on loan, has really affected his form.
He honestly has had a shocker lately

I was thinking this after the game too. Emerson/Doherty almost exclusively spent the whole game in the opposition third. Japh was almost a traditional RB for most of the game with Skipp/Winks dropping deep to help us build the play.

Moura would terrorise Alonso with his pace. It's also a way of shoe-horning both Moura and Bergwijn into the more competitive 3-5-2. Of course the big worry is his defensive prowess if we do get pinned back constantly, which is possible based on the strength of their midfield.

Dier is back according to Conte.. although he did say we have some fresh concerns which is a worry.

Would go

Hugo

Sanchez Dier Davies

Doherty Skipp Winks PEH Regulion

Kane Bergwijn

No Skipp or Lucas in training might be the injury concerns.
Yeah seen some training photos and those two are the noticeable absentees .. If that's the case it will definitely have to be Bergwijn up top with Kane and probably Lo celso in for Skipp.

Lloris
Sanchez Dier Davies
Doherty........ Winks.... Reguilon
Skipp Hojbjerg
Moura Kane
Then have Bergwijn an option off the bench again.
