Since when was Onomah a center midfielder?
He certainly isn't a winger, where he's mostly been used so far. Playing him there would give him something else to step up to. Plus he clearly sees himself as a similar type of player.
The teenager appears to have leapfrogged out-of-favour Andros Townsend in the pecking order but faces stiff competition from the likes of Dembele and Christian Eriksen for a starting spot.
The Belgian has been on superb form this season and Onomah is impressed with him on and off the pitch.
"I’d say Mousa Dembele – he’s impressed me a lot this season both in and out of possession," Omomah told SpursTV when asked which team-mate he models his game on.
"Also, Chris Eriksen because he plays in that number 10 role and he gets lots of assists and goals.
"I look up to Mousa. He likes to beat players, tackle and get forward to score goals. Off the pitch he’s a good person, he’s friendly to me and we get on well."
