Why keep putting two together? Should we wait until after the Swansea match and do two sets of ratings at the same time? By the OP's logic might as well include the match after Swansea as well. We are not playing two matches on the same day ffs. One game at a time please.

I agree, said the same a few weeks ago.

Get the logic of it obviously, but think its much better to keep them separate - just my opinion. As soon as the game ends tomorrow this thread just feels hollow because everyone has already stated their teams. As opposed to the game finishing tomorrow and then someone creating a new team thread for Sunday and we can all get discussing.

Also things can happen in a game that would affect your choice for Sunday to, then you're redoing your team. And looking at teams everywhere it all gets a bit blurry - can't see the wood from the trees lol.

If you are not interested in the other game yet okay, ignore it. But I am choosing my team for the game tomorrow with the next one, which is more important, in mind. Makes it easier for people to justify their selection.

Maybe some want to change it after the game tomorrow, and they are free to do it here.

Then would it not be better to make the title "Team vs Besiktas" then if someone wants to include their Swansea team that would be their choice as oppose to being forced to?
If you pick a team that someone then questions, then at least it leaves more room for debate, than putting up a second team to justify the first. As @Mr Pink says, it gets blurry after a while and team forecast for the next match becomes stale. My opinion where I am sure a lot will agree (in my opinion :))

No problem with that, but just to clarify: No one is forced to post two teams or anything at all ;)

I keep it in mind when I start a thread like this next time.

We have half a squad for Swansea already settled (inc. Lloris)

Davies or Rose should easily slot in, whichever doesn't play here.

The rested CB could also make it for Swansea either Dier/Fazio/Chiriches or Kaboul.

Means we have an entirely rested back four, midfield and two up top. Heck, depending on who plays 100% of our Swansea team could be rested.

No more stupid fucking excuses by posters or the team that they are tired/midweek game or whatever nonsense.

I don't expect Walker to play in both games. Eventhough it's a tough place to play , I would give a start to Winks & Onamoh. I trust our academy. Given, how Mason & Nabil started their top level career, I expect similar from this duo. Even if they fail, it's nothing to lose. We don't need to top the group in my personal opinion.
Swansea game - I would give one more go with Everton lineup

Actually it's not the tiredness thing as such.
MP wanted an extra day to prepare for the game. Game plan, tactics and training ground work.
Of course the days rest helps, but they get back Friday or Saturday and then travel to the game on Sunday.
No time for the game plan to be worked on the training ground.

Absoulutely ridiculous that a massive club like ours can only rustle up 1 striker. Fantastic news that Andros is in the squad. I can’t wait to see him and Walker combine. Ideally an hour for each of them and Andros match fit for the Swansea game.

Lloris

Walker Kaboul Chiriches Rose

Townsend Capoue Dembele Lamela Chadli

Soldado

Should get the job done.

Then Swansea

Lloris

Chiriches Fazio Verts Davies (should be up for this game!)

Townsend Mason Stambouli Bentaleb Eriksen

Kane

No more 4-4-2 til Ade is back.

We only need a draw to top the group, so pack the midfield & don't let them play through us on the counter.

To be fair, playing 12 against Besiktas should get the job done.

As it is an away game I am just wondering if Soldado should be given another chance added to that 10 or try Chadli. Ceballos a long, long shot?

I have a feeling Soldado will be dropped for Dembele or Paulinho but I hope he goes with the above.
