Dier was excellent with the ball yesterday and consistently found the attacking midfielders when he had the opportunity. That was the type of game that so many people think that Winks has all the time.
can u share proof, because i was not blown away by him in possession other than that one move that ended with dier hitting the post.

Journeyman speaks the truth. Unless someone suffers an injury, it will be the same starting 11 as yesterday. According to physioroom.com it looks like NDombele will not feature until after Christmas.

I reckon the only person threatening the starting XI is Foyth, either for Aurier if Jose decides to be more cautious on the right flank, or at CB if Sanchez's shocking first half on Sunday made Jose a little bit nervous. That said, Sanchez has probably been our best defender (in terms of heading, blocking and tackling) since Jose took over so maybe he'll stick with him.

The only changes may come at CM because that position has been the least convincing. It'll be Dier and Sissoko though, I think. No changes.

He will look to rotate some more over the Christmas period due to how many games there are, and it has to be done.

It said something as well that no changes from Jose on Sunday until 88 minutes. It seems like he feels this is best eleven he has, barring injury or someone’s form dipping.

I’d be tempted to put Skipp in alongside Dier, as Skipp can play holding role but has also been described as having a bit more in his locker.

Would make us nice and solid having them bother in front of defence too, nothing against Sissoko but him and Dier are a little blunt...

Sissoko also did well on right side but Moura deserves to keep spot at the moment.

Gazzaniga

Aurier Alderweireld Sanchez Vertonghen

Dier Skipp

Moura Dele Son

Even if N'Dombele wasn't injured he isn't close to having the fitness required to just start games.

Same team as against Wolverhampton with Winks coming in for Sissoko. Mourinho has already stated that Sissoko is not a number 6. I agree with him.

Maybe we want to rotate Lucas? If so Sissoko might play in that RW-role. I doubt it for this game - can do that later.

Forget the selection, we will win the style game, looking at them turning up at wolves all the team dressed to kill in a team outfit, is this JM doing as last time I saw them turn up for an away game, all different some looking like bags of shit . Got a feeling we are becoming a team again

Crazy to think this really is the same personnel for the past 3 years. Not a summer signing in sight due to form, fitness or Jose not trusting them yet. Really need some ready (and fit!!) fresh faces in Jan to push on

Dier and Sissoko will play but I'd like to see if Lo Celso can play in the centre of midfield at some point.

Actually, I'd just like to see him play somewhere.

Almost anywhere, in fact.

Can he play RB?

It’ll be same again, lads. Rotation is over.

No more Sissoko/Dier plodding along hiding from the ball in central midfield FFS. Chelsea will punish us if we can't hold onto possession in this match. Winks has to start.

I would go with:

GAZZA

AURIER
TOBY
SANCHEZ
VERTONGHEN

DIER
WINKS

MOURA
ALLI
SON

KANE

Lo Celso to come on for Winks if we are chasing the game and Sissoko to come on for Moura if we need to see the match out.
