Interesting to get a look at Moore and Ceesay against pretty elite opposition, as you know the Portuguese age group sides are gonna be some of the best in Europe. Moore's got such great quality in that right foot, but didn't really get into the game. I do wonder if his future's as a proper No 10 rather than off the left. Just not sure he's got that electric burst of pace for a wide man.

Ceesay didn't really get into the game at all. England's No 7 was pretty tricky if he fills out a little. Portugal No 11 was rapid if a little wasteful.
Ceesay?? Olusesi?

Yeah, Olusesi not Ceesay. My mistake!
I agree with you concerning Mikey Moore. Looks like an inside-forward (in old terms), so will probably become a number 10 in time. Alfie Devine could also settle into mid-field as either an 8 or 10. And then there is Jamie Donley...... Three very different players, all highly talented, who may find that their best opportunity to impact on games could come from the more advanced mid-field positions rather than the forward line.

Yeah, but to be fair a 3-1 chance of a youth product making it as a 1st team regular is still fairly slim. If one of them makes it then we'll have had a good outcome.

Our U18s or maybe U17s are playing Leyton Orient right now in a behind closed doors friendly. I don't know who's on the team sheet yet. Maybe @Lilywhite Rose can do some digging? We're 1-0 up.

Keeley played whole game as Ireland U21 won 3-2 against Turkey. Andiyapan came in from the bench as Wales U19 lost against Finland 1-0

Someone I know who watches the yoof stuff has mentioned a Santiago (sp?) several times. We seem to have half a dozen really promising prospects. Hopefully one or two might at least be able to move up in the next couple of years. Who know though at this level.

Certainly bossing iy in PL2 so far.

England U19 beat Switzerland 4-2. Dorrington played the entire game. While Phillips came on as sub and scored.
Gunter unused sub, Donley still injured.

It was then 4-2 on 65 minutes as Cozier-Dubbery drove into the box on the right and picked out substitute Ashley Phillips, with his first-time shot going in courtesy of a deflection.

England U17 will again be streamed on youtube later on.

While not Spurs youth anymore, Paskotsi started against Sweden. Busy evening with Sweden leading 0-3 after 41mins. Kulusevski scored 2nd

Damn, I know why he likes Santiago now. And he doesn't stand out from the rest either. We've got quite a group there.

I'd love for our squad to have 3 or 4 academy graduates. So would every club though. Easier said than done.

The Man U crop of 92 is so rare especially the level of success they achieved with giggs also part of that team, we’re gonna need a few to be at least of the quality of squad players though once we get back into Europe for club trained squad requirements. Hopefully next season we’ll have Europe of some kind and trim the first team squad a bit to allow chances for these kids

Yup. Hitting paydirt like that happens once in a blue moon. 3/4 good quality squad options would still be a very good return, way above average. 🤞

Imagine producing something like Ajax did in 95, that’s the absolute dream
