Van Der vaart has got it spot on. We're too reliant on people running with the ball rather than quick short passes. Everyone just standing in straight lines on their markers didn't help either.

We only started creating when they lost their shape/discipline/fitness. You can say it was down to Eriksen but he didn't create that space, their fitness and heads going down did. They went from two narrow banks of four and the striker working hard to players totally out of position leaving space between the lines

A great finish to the game, We need to score more goals from created chances. Defencce wise, I thought that we missed Vertonghen. Great debut for N'dombele with a well taken goal. COYS!!!!

Everyone's overreacting slightly.

Though Poch's deficiencies as a tactician should be lessening after five years at the same team. His coaching and interpersonal skills make up for it but we seem to brute force our way to winning games way too often.

KWP was fantastic. Sissoko is redundant with NDombele. I can't wait to see Lo Celso, Ndombele and Eriksen in the same midfield. Even if it's just for one match before Eriksen leaves.

Oh and whatever Jan has allegedly done, his media management skills are non-existent. "I can't pick everyone and we've got Dier anyway" wtf.

Lucas is an odd player. Clearly bundles of ability, but basically never uses it. Dangerous in the penalty area, but outside it, offers almost nothing. Particularly when out wide, never takes his man on, doesn't use his pace or skill. Never gets to the by line. Very strange.

5.30pm next Saturday is going to be the tester. Just a shame we don't have a midweek game, then Son could play on Saturday.

I fail to see what your point is.

That to take a good corner also requires attackers to make the right run, get a good connection etc. He put two corners in that landed in the middle of the 6 yard box, really you cant ask for much more than that but unfortunately as the attackers were nowhere to be seen it appears that it was a shit corner.

Anyone re-watching this game (and I assume the Spurs coaching staff do) will see how clearly Eriksen changed the game. Levy will be gambling with our chances of success this season if he sells him.

I think hes a confidence player and that miss early on really effected him. Did anyone else get flashbacks of Amsterdam when he layed on N'Dombele for the goal?

Same as last season, the front 3 can often be quite static.

Lucas has soooo much acceleration, if there were more give and go moves with him I don't know how u defend it without risking a pen

Enjoy your first trip to the new stadium @michaelden! Don't forget the oxygen tank for t

It was amazing! Loved the stadium. Blagged a disabled lift up to level 5 and then it was a short climb up the stairs. Steep though. View is fantastic even from up there.

Hated the ref, thought he was going to spoil my first game in the new stadium.

Having never seen Lo Celso play i could be very wrong but maybe he was bought specifically to take over the Eriksen role?

It's getting to the point where I actually think it could be worth letting him walk on a free. What would we get now? 50m? A lot to miss out on but we'd have arguably our best player for another season and there is still a chance he might extend if things are going really well.

The KWP was good and Sissoko shouldn’t play out wide comments are quite discordant in my view. Pochettino clearly played Sissoko there to protect KWP and it worked very well.

I think it’s a very good tactic while KWP continues to get more experience and builds confidence.
Sissoko started on the left so wasn’t there to protect KWP although he did switch in the first half: however that was why Toby played on the right, which is the first Tom when him and Sanchez started together.
