I would argue that 'perfectly fine' is not good enough for the 9th richest club in the world with ambitions to be in the top four and win trophies.
I think he knows that and theres nothing we can do now until summer. But is perfectly fine worth sacrificing to put a midfielder in instead?

I would argue that we shouldn't be shitting on our own players because of one bad game then decide we'd rather play someone who isn't a fucking RB in his position.

Honestly what is wrong with giving credit to a player who gets called out after any bad game or moment? This is what pisses me off with some of you lot.

Not just you but this kind of comment highlights the unrealistic standards fans put on the club. There is no room for error and even good performances don’t seem to be good enough anymore.

Some of the comments during the game were ridiculous. Like you’re not happy unless you have something to moan about.

Thanks to Andersen making a complete dogs dinner of his attempts to clear it lead to our revival, confidence flowed there after. Taking Eze off for them also proved decisive they then just caved in with the subs they made, helped us put them to the sword. Johnson is proving a real asset from the bench as well.

A great result and the Villa away game next week is a tough one. Could do with Luton doing us favour soon to be honest just can't see it. Least we've pushed Utd back as can't see them getting anything tomorrow. Unfortunately I still wouldn't write them off they seem to have a knack of hanging in there for 4th even though they aren't what they use to be.

Creativity and keep banging the door.

Those 3 you mention are miles ahead in their development under their various coaches and yet they've still been seen to struggle against a low block. City almost lost to Chelsea the other week because of it. Liverpool scored a 99th minute winner today.
And Liverpool only got their winner cos forest tried playing it out from the back in the 99th minute. They could have hoofed it anywhere and the whistle would blow

Fantastic turnaround, and a desperate win. Just need to show the same energy at the start of these games now as we do after going a fucking goal down.

Absolutely huge 3pts.....COYS

This is also part of the problem, people(not you) don't watch other games they go off stats and reports and get a clouded view of what exactly has gone on at big moments.

I'd say can Emerson be improved and is he developing? Only the coaching team really know that. If he is, OK let's keep paying him the wages. If not, play someone else with a higher ceiling and more potential even if they make mistakes.

It doesn't change the fact we haven't been playing well not only this game, but the last handful. Also is the whole point of a match thread to comment on what your seeing at the time?
Commenting about what you're seeing at the time =/= going on and on about a bad result and what it means for the rest of the season/future/the club in general before it's, you know, a result. No idea if this applies to you. Just a general statement. And, admittedly, these match threads would be pretty boring if more people took the same "let's wait and see what happens before losing our shit" approach that I and some others do.

But, yeah, to each their own. Great win by a team that doesn't quit and seems to still believe in the manager.

Well yes, I think we would all upgrade him. But you're talking to a poster who said he was fine this game and was arguing against people playing bentancur, sarr or skipp at right back instead of an actual right back

I'm very happy we won but we need to keep setting targets which is what I'm guessing Ange is doing privately. Why not aim high?

BTW, why was Romero playing CF for his goal? It wasn't a free kick or corner or anything, just a routine throw-in on the right wing and he's standing on the penalty spot.

Obviously no-one's going to tell him not to if he wants to.

Romero does this from time to time - when he gets frustrated with the forwards - he will make a run, and stay up top.
