Pretty shit, but I genuinely think there are some positives in there. We're clearly making more first time balls and trying to move the ball quicker than we did under Poch. Problem is the players aren't so used to it and are misplacing easy passes that leave us vulnerable, while we look dodgy as fuck on the defensive transitions.

Definitely a work in progress.

Unless Ndombele & Lo Celso have been absolutely stinking out the place in training and Eriksen has been dynamite I can’t fathom for the life of me why Eriksen would be on in front of them.

This half was when we were supposed to play well, everyone will stop running after 60th minute. We will need perfectly timed and selected subs.

We've looked really bad today, we're just swarmed and second best all over the pitch. Hopefully that late gift for Dele will get us going cause we seem as static, shaky and void of ideas as we've done for the last year really.. Lo Celso on for someone maybe but can't really decide who to drop as all of them have been equally poor today.

I'm confused, eriksen on after all that's been said this week. Should have been glc or nbombele in my honest opinion. Guess that's why I'm not the chosen one ??

On the upside of the sub, at least he knew it wasn't happening and changed it early

Moura experiment, like the Dier one has seemingly been, needs to be put to bed.

He will live on in our folk lore for his hattrick in the CL run but an absolute waste of a space in a XI.

Just can't seem to do it, the goal at the weekend doesn't mask that fact.

not quite sure where to start, has been a total shambles, again to me we have been done by a team passing and moving for each other and working harder. we just seem to press in ones and twos and let runners go. son and moura seem to want to just get there heads down and dribble, kane is stood up top not involved. winks is busy without looking creative, aurier is trying but doesn't seen so natural that high up the pitch, credit to him he has been making runs but seems to be slightly late with them. rose for me cant defend and isn't a great passer of the ball, the role suit davies at the weekend but not rose.
Id like to see verts for rose and GLC or Sess for Aurier if we are still chasing the game if aurier is going to continue to play so high up

We have reverted to type. Slow in everything we do. Dele nothing like the player at WHU. Don’t understand the substation? Yes Dier deserved to come off as he’s miles off the pace but Eriksen??? Surely Lo Celso or NDembele have a better skill set to okay in the midfield two and that’s without bringing up Eriksen’s recent form!

Winks has been next-level shit. But the boss can't do anything about that. The game is clearly too frantic for Winks to have any impact and it doesn't help that he panics any time he seems to get the ball tonight. I really do hope Jose is cluing into some of systemic issues. Dier is not the player of two years ago and probably never will be. Rose can't be asked to play the type of role Davies did because he doesn't have the defensive discipline and is also dreadfully out of form. Son and Moura can be excellent on their day, but do struggle a lot against teams who defend as well as Olym. In Son's case, he gets frustrated and then starts making careless mistakes all over the field. As for Lucas, it just feels like the game is passing him by. He doesn't know how to get more involved. Jose will eventually need to learn that the likes of Ndombele, Lamela and Lo Celso are key players when it comes to taking on these types of teams. You need players who can controls the ball and tempo of the game. Winks, Dier, Dele all struggled massively in that half.

They've all been shit but Harry Winks isnt for this level. We never seem to control the midfield and him and the likes of Sissoko are the reason for that. They both give 100% but if we aspire to be an elite side then players like that have to be made squad players or sold.

As for Dier he will end up crashing through to the NFL pitch, the fat bastard.

Get Ndombele or Lo Celso on the fucking pitch for fucks sake.

Way too open in midfield.

I swear to God, only at Spurs would we get a player worth £50m+ (albeit on loan) and one of the best young midfielders possibly in the world, and then not play him in our shit excuse for a midfield. It's absurd.

Would you rather we rush him back and get him injured again. There must be a reason why Jose did not put him on

Amidst all of the crapness, Sanchez has been excellent. Gets a lot of stick on here but he’s kept us in the game with his recovery anticipation/pace.
Looks like the only one taking responsibility out there. I think Mourinho will like him a lot.
