Bentancur is being given an impossible job today, I can already see it. We desperately need some creative attacking midfielders.

The squad needs massive improvement. Doesn’t mean we can’t get a result today, but it’s clear that we didn’t do enough in the summer to be able to cope with the fixture congestion.

I think that is an over-simplification. Injuries to a single position are the issue right now - Richarlison, Deki and Lucas all not fit enough to start along side Kane/Son.

Midfield of Skipp/Bentancur/Bissouma should have enough to compete.

Sanchez has shown he is capable of filling in for Romero.

Sanchez is good under conte don't mind him playing.

Zero creativity though.

Hopefully skipp provides some aggression.

We have two of the best forwards in the world.

It’s the rest of the teams creativity I worry about & providing to them.

Those two have been isolated in tough games this season, which this game will also be imo.

We have two of the best forwards in the world.

Kane and Son get barely any service though.

More often than not they create their own chances for each other.

That team has very little creativity in it.

I don’t see what the issue is here?

Emerson, after consistently poor outings, coming back into the side ahead of Doherty, who has performed well in his absence and Spence who deserves an opportunity is nonsensical.

Doherty needs rotating.

SPENCE IS NOT READY.

(If Spence was the best available option, Conte would play him. Conte is driven by winning. If Conte thought he could win with Spence, he would play him.)

It's weird in the sense, we got Udogie but loaned him back, Sarr was back to us but never plays, signed Spence but not trusted. It was 3 exciting young prospects which if they are all here and got in the grooves, we instantly become very well covered.

Honestly, we really can't say Conte has no responsibility in the current plight we are in if we are constantly playing Emerson, who IMVHO is the worse of the RWB we have, and not blooding Sarr and Gil more into the team. We can only do so much in the window if Conte is not making the most of the squad options.

Pro’s and cons of changes imo:
•Emerson IN for Doherty: more pace and better defensively. Cons: arguably not as good going forwards
•Sessengon IN for Perisic: more pace to stretch them backwards. Cons : not as experienced as Perisic
•Sanchez IN for Romero: not Romero’s best game vs Man.U so big dav deserves a start and has been much better under conte. Cons: has a wobble in him
•Lenglet IN for Davies : just a better player overall. Con : had an error in him after Barca but for me levels above Davies defensively and with the ball
•Skipp IN for PEH: some fresh energy into CM. Cons: PEH has been at a very high level this season

Changes all make sense.

Spence at RWB would’ve been a risk against such a strong side if Conte doesn’t think he’s ready tactically yet but I’d like to see him soon as he offers a lot going forwards.

If playing a 3-4-3 then like to see Gil get some minutes as his energy was good in the CL game and he won a pen even though he also gave the ball away about 20x.

Im going for 2-1 spurs

Hopefully it's just rotation and he gets more game time than he was getting
Agree. But he needs game time to play into form. The idea of rotation should be Doherty still starting and the first to be subbed out at 60ish minute, not being casted back to the bench immediately after Emerson's suspension is over.
