It shouldn't be a target man or nothing, the attackers aren't doing enough, you can drag defenders out of position without being physical.

The problem is Moura, Son and Dele aren't doing enough and when they get into decent situations their technique and decision making usually lets them down.

This what you get with a coach who has a plan

And also what you get when you have an oil exporting country funding your club. Jose’s plan has worked very well. We need a little more accuracy in the final third and we can test Ederson. Man City are the premier league champions - let’s not get ahead of ourselves

How exactly is Sterling still on the pitch even though we have VAR? That tackle was a red card all day long, out of control and catches him on his shin. Then to top it off he dives. If the review says no penalty then it can only be a dive.
He is an absolutely disgusting player. All he needs is an arsenal shirt and he would be right up there with the all time worst of them

I'd take Alli off and put on Ndom, try and get some stability in midfield.
I’d do that and put Lamela on for Moura.

Son as striker, Lo Celso higher up to try and effect things with a pass or a run and Ndombele in next to Winks

So poor from Son again, get your bloody head up and look for someone! Just running with his head down too often.

There is trying to specifically counter attack though, like last weekend, and then there is just playing park the bus like today. We're pushed back so deep that today our defence + cm2 are more often than not just forced to be clearing their lines and getting the ball out of the area. It isn't going to be pretty.

What needs to happen is that the half a dozen times we do manage to get into a counter attack situation is accuracy. As I just in a post we've had a few times where Son, Moura, Alli, Bergwijn have found themselves on the ball and space ahead of them, it's got to be more decisive and I'd just like to see them travel with the ball and go at the City defence with purpose.
Yeah there's a certain lack of conviction both from the runners and the passers. There were 2 or 3 situations when Winks had a good option for a long pass or a through ball and he clearly didn't trust himself to make the pass. Meanwhile Son and Alli have just been running down blind alleys and into legs.

Mike Dean is something else, how is that a Man City free kick?!
