Man City played very well that half. Hopefully they drop off and we can grow into the game a bit second half as we aren't really in it yet.

Decent. Gonna get tougher when they make the inevitable changes in the 2nd half. We have our own good option as well though

Is it just my eyes or is the pitch cutting up quite a bit? Seen players on both sides slip in the first half. Don't usually have those problems on our pitch do we?

Thought we did really well to come out of that first 20 minutes because that was an absurd turning of the screw. Our front three work very hard but there's just something missing - might be a more killer instinct from the midfield that's needed. Udogie/Micky/Cuti/Pedro all great as usual.

City pressing so high there is so much space to be playing in Werner and Johnson, just play the ball into the space. Constantly delaying that final ball for nothing.
We don’t have a Maddison or Lo Celso etc on to play that pass unfortunately, hopefully 2nd half.

The issue is that we’ve been unable to get our ball players on the ball and when we have they’ve been ineffective. I don’t think we need to change personnel at this point, we just need to tweak something that gets Bentancur, Porro and Kulu the time they need to pick the pass.

We need Johnson’s pace in behind, and we don’t have anyone on the bench that will offer what he and Werner do.

I have to say it’s pleasing how often now we are involved in high quality games of football, and not because we’re the underdogs giving it a go, but because we look to play, can defend well and contribute 50% of the quality on display.

Add Maddison and Son to this and I feel we contribute even more of course, but it says a lot how good we can be even without those key players.

Holjberg has really impressed me this half. He’s been really good on the ball. Didn’t know he had that in him.

Well, if Johnson had a final ball ;)

City obviously have controlled. But we have had some good breaks. I’d have Maddison on for Kulusevski as I think we need Jonson and Timo’s pace behind. We really need to find those Timo runs, Maddison will help with that.
