Just my gut feeling but I think the team will be a 3412: Lloris, Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Emerson, Winks, Ndombele, Sessegnon, Dele, Son, Kane. Relatively strong all things considered. Midfield is a massive problem though. Without Hojbjerg & Skipp we are soooo light there. Hope thats addressed in January.

After some of the performances in Europe, I'm hoping that Conte already knows all about the squad and he's playing some out of necessity.
(namely Winks and Dele!).

Even without those players a midfielder of Dele, Ndombele and Winks has me incredibly nervous.

At least they should be way more motivated at home against Liverpool than away in Conference League. I think they'll do better than expected.

It is a small-scale tragedy that, only 2-3 years ago, a midfield of Dele, WInks and Ndombele would have been considered a top-class combination of internationals - and balanced as well, with a controlling/sweeping/passing player, a creative/ball-carrying player and a super-fit player darting into the box to be the extra man and score loads of goals.

That midfield would have been considered the height of up-and-coming talent. For all sorts of reasons, at least as many mental as physical, it hasn't worked out for any of them.

Wasted talent is a bitch.
