Atleast they would bother there arse unlike.....kane I know controversial but he has had an eye on world cup since start of season bet he shows more effort for England.
Haha - I’ve read some utter bollocks on here in the past but that’s right up there. Pure drivel

If we don't win this game then I just don't know. Questions will have to be asked of Conte. I'm not saying it'll be easy but this run of poor form and performances this season, in general, have been really, really concerning. I don't care how bad he thinks the squad is, he's suppose to be one of the best coaches in world football. If he can't get tune out of them then hard questions need to be asked. How much investment is he going to need exactly before we start to see some bang for our buck? The more quality he needs bought in the less impressed I am at the claims that he's some brilliant coach. If you can't work with anything but the best then maybe you're not so good. The best coaches worked with what they had and improved them. I'll say it again, Clough was a world class coach. Fergie was a world class coach. Wenger, as much as it pains me to say it, was a world class coach. They worked with all types of players. The Ronaldos' and Henrys' of this world as well as the John O'sheas', Tom Cleverleys' and the Phillippe Senderos'.
Yeah he should get a tune out of them at least, like maybe have us punching above our weight. If he was so elite he would have us in the Champions League, top the group and in the top 4.

Hope your right they definitely do press high and give opportunities but do we have the energy to make them count? Hopefully if kulu and Richarlison play that will help massively.

I genuinely think our players will be so up for this including kane when he sees kulu and Richarlison alongside him

Here's a shocker.
Other than Man City and Arsenal.....
we've won more PL games than anyone else this season.
That's surprised me anyway.

Any sort of win will do today. We'd be kidding ourselves to expect a sudden transformation to intense, pressing football. I wouldn't even expect to see any green shoots today. That being said, if we've dropped down the table and are still experiencing the same slow starts in February or March then yes, clearly serious questions are going to be asked by people who make the decisions.

3 points absolutely vital for us today going into the long break. Just so we have some optimism for the 2nd half of the season. Spurs chat will be unbearable for 6 weeks if we lose.

Clean sheet is also important. We've conceeded 2 goals in every one of our last 5 domestic games, which is unacceptable. But I think we'd all take a 1-0 win with a scrappy 90th min goal.

I'd like to see Spence start. He showed more attacking intent in 25 mins than Emerson has all season. More gametime will get him linking more with Kulusevski too. It's likely it'll be Emerson though ?‍♂️

I don't care if they won at Anfield recently - we're playing a bottom half side at home when our team has a point to prove - nothing less than 3 points is remotely acceptable.

Much has been made about Conte's style of football as we're discussing in the other threads - but he is still in a strong standing because results have been good on the whole. A win today guarantees that we go into the World Cup in the top four and gives us a strong platform to build upon for the second half of the season. However if we drop points then Man Utd can overtake us - so could Brighton and Chelsea if they win their games in hand, with Liverpool also not too far behind. Things will turn sour very quickly if we drop down the table whilst playing shit football.

Suspect we'll see Richarlison and Kulusevski back in the starting XI and a return to a 3-4-3. Just hope that nobody shirks any tackles or avoids sprinting too hard to avoid picking up a last minute injury before the World Cup...

If we're losing at half time, there will be boos
If we haven't scored by half time, there will likely be boos
If we drop points, there will be boos

I hate it but that's the reality of what's coming. Could REALLY do with an early goal but honestly can't remember the last time we even started well let alone actually scored - believe it's six games in a row we've gone into half time behind now?

Fergie didn’t do any coaching, neither did Clough. They were clever people who got in peoples heads. No doubt they were bullies in a lot of ways but that’s how it has to be in football. Fergie was clever in that he changed his first team coach regularly, so the players didn’t get sick of the same voice. Clough’s players always felt they owed him as they were usually rubbish when he signed them, or not very good players. John McGovern who went everywhere with Clough, said on a doc that he would walk over broken glass to play for him but wouldn’t go out for a pint with him.
Most of the managers now are heavily involved in the coaching.
Probably because most of them are foreign, whereas British managers used to virtually run the club so got a mate to do the coaching.

I remember last season we were all down just before we played Leeds away and battered them 0-4

Sorry but that works both ways. Who knows how we will do the rest of the season, we could just as well climb higher. With the form we had towards the end of last season we deserve at least some belief.

Strangely, really looking forward to this. I think it might have more to do with beers with mates in the sun than the prospect of watching us play football, but still. COYS

Hopefully things go well for us and the crowd get behind them. Sadly won't make it today.

Hope things aren't too bad in here......
