If Leeds are going to press today from the off then why not mix it up instead of trying to play out go Long into Kane and hope Richy and Kulu can pick up the second balls from him. Otherwise we’re just going to end up giving sloppy goals away again.
WCIs Romero definitely still 'injured' ?
The guy has played every game this season and unless injured or suspended he will play every England game too. He's probably knackered you know.Atleast they would bother there arsenal unlike.....kane I know controversial but he has had an eye on world cup since start of season bet he shows more effort for England.
Dreading this game playing a team who press very hard have lots of energy and determination everything sadly spurs aren't this season. Add to this that most of their players aren't in the world cup unlike spurs.
Expecting very little effort from Kane etc due to being our last game. Sick and tired off our players having one eye on the World Cup yet we pay their wages! Won't excuse lack of effort.
I have my doubts that all 3 will start, but I'm more optimistic they will all play a part in the game.
We just need to find the right and optimum blend of utilising their time on the pitch wisely and to the maximum without risking them too much and hope their contributions lead to assists or goals for us.Agree.
I hope Kulusevski can start, and then we have the option to bring Richarlison on in the 2nd half.
I can't see Kulusevski or Richarlison playing 90mins.
This is eerily similar to the mindset of many Scotland fans at the World Cup in 1978, when a very highly rated Scotland team (comprising Alan Rough, Sandy Jardine, Willie Donachie, Martin Buchan, Kenny Burns, Asa Hartford, Archie Gemmill, Kenny Dalglish, Joe Jordan, Lou Macari, and John Robertson) found itself unable to break down a fit and tactically well-organised Iran team.Shouldn’t really need Kane to beat Iran. Southgate can make the most of his squad, play Wilson or Rashford.
Me too, 2 days at the lane. Normally I'd be thinking that's a huge win, but have to admit, not been more nervous ahead of a game for a while. And def think the crowd has a part to play - even if they serve up the dross we've seen in last few weeks, need to get behind em.Thought this was an away game, so didn't offer my seat to anyone. Which means I'll be there on saturday for footy and then sunday for the rugby :0
My first game at the new stadium today. Taking my dad for his 70th birthday.
Very interested to see what the atmosphere is really like.
Hope your right they definitely do press high and give opportunities but do we have the energy to make them count? Hopefully if kulu and Richarlison play that will help massively.I'm expected them to leave loads of space so in rather looking forward to this
I know he has but still think he is saving himself for the WC be interesting to see how he playsThe guy has played every game this season and unless injured or suspended he will play every England game too. He's probably knackered you know.
I am miffed at the laughing emoji’s. Very fair and a valid argument. If we don't win this game then I just don't know. Questions will have to be asked of Conte. I'm not saying it'll be easy but this run of poor form and performances this season, in general, have been really, really concerning. I don't care how bad he thinks the squad is, he's suppose to be one of the best coaches in world football. If he can't get tune out of them then hard questions need to be asked. How much investment is he going to need exactly before we start to see some bang for our buck? The more quality he needs bought in the less impressed I am at the claims that he's some brilliant coach. If you can't work with anything but the best then maybe you're not so good. The best coaches worked with what they had and improved them. I'll say it again, Clough was a world class coach. Fergie was a world class coach. Wenger, as much as it pains me to say it, was a world class coach. They worked with all types of players. The Ronaldos' and Henrys' of this world as well as the John O'sheas', Tom Cleverleys' and the Phillippe Senderos'.
