KloppertyMy favourite is the OTT sarcastic response as if the decision was so outrageous they cannot believe the injustice of it being given.
Exaggerated shakes of the head, numerous eye rolls, a couple of forehead slaps, manic laughing, dancing back and forth to the bench and touchline, looking up at no one in particular in the stands as if to say "you get where Im coming from, right?" All finished with looking back out towards the pitch with hands on hips, puffed out chest and multiple head shakes.
I think it's called having a klippety.
When there is a few minutes to go in extra time and we have a break on them (the break broke down poorly again), its then shocking to see Everton running at us 3 attackers against 2 defenders with Emerson trying to get back and make up the numbers. Its poor decision making to me whether its the managers coaching or the personnel on the pitch that makes you risk the 3 points like that feeling you might score another goal.No - we shouldn't be changing the system. Well, we won't be changing the system but every single player out there should be on the same page with what Ange wants to do. Ange won't change his philosophy but inevitably, some players will ultimately be changing clubs.
I can't remember the last time I watch MOTD live. It's on series link which enables me to spin through all the action, and not have to endure the endless, biased, nauseating post-match analysis spouted by sanctimonious pundits.Forget MOTD. Hollywood wannabes. They probably thought it would be too dull to roll is as another routine Spurs win, so, oh no, let's make it instead about the poor fighting against all odds plucky unlucky Everton underdog, an unfair scoreline, VAR controversies, no end of drama, etc!
Fuckem.
I was shocked at how we defended in the last 10 minutes. I was actually fuming watching us get caught 3 on 2 or with our full backs so advanced. To me, they are signs that Ange's approach will be exposed if real pressure comes on. The ride with him will be a hell of a lot of fun but we won't win a thing under him.We have the age old conflict between those delighted with a win and baffled at others who look to performance rather than result and are less than delighted.
I tend to be with the latter and the dispiriting thing about the Everton game is the thought 'How are we going to get through to February with this team & stay in touch with top 4' ?
With Romero out the defence goes to pieces . Things are so bad that Ange actually makes a compromise...Vic kicks long. Put simply, without Romero, playing out from the back is simply too dangerous...Ange.ball abandoned....though we still get mad overloads against us as oppo forwards rush in. Famously vs Everton a 3 vs 2 at the death when we are defending a one goal lead.
Pretty crazy imo.
Udogie back will help and we're hoping for transfer action, we are still in a good place on the table..but that was a grim performance on some levels and a warning about life before Feb.
Oh and a final point. Didn't Danjuma look good. Going straight at defenders causing mayhem. Exactly what we want from Johnson. Haha get Danjuma in !
Not being funny but that's not what he was told when he took the job. Also it wasn't all about big money signings but some he wanted had no resale value so we're overlooked. Not
Not being funny but let's be honest, Conte wanted to spend money that just wasnt there. He never mentioned Sarr and Bissouma being key players, heck, being considered players. He just complained about not having the right players. Ange made them important players, he is the 9ne that tried to make Biss and Sarr important players
FYP - Udogie represents Italy. We're navigating our way through murky waters right now. We've had some diabolical luck that has cost us dear, but we got a slice of good luck v Everton and I'll happily take that. Please God we get some business done early in Jan and we don't haveUdogieSarr and Bissouma make the AFCON final. Everyone around us faltered but we picked up 3. COYS!!
But we're winning nothing under Ange IMO.

I don't think its conclusive we wont win anything with Ange. This is the safest prediction ever. Ange would be the seventh permanent coach (or eighth including Sherwood) we have won nothing under. We’re so used to it now, no wonder we feel that way.
Agreed. It seems that Sean Dyche is unaware that the referee awarded the free kick to Spurs, it wasn't VAR, who merely advised the ref to have a look at it on the monitor. The Everton player stood on Emerson's foot and then kicked away his standing leg. A clear foul by anyone's standards and the correct decision was reached, which is the important thing. Most pundits (and Dyche) seem to be missing a key point with this VAR argument. Linesmen are not operating in the same way with VAR as they used to without it. In some aspects this is explicit - they are told not to flag for close offsides. But it is also clear that even though they should, they don't always flag for marginal calls or if they are not 100% sure of a foul, because they know that VAR will look at it.
VAR was always going to pick up on the clear and obvious foul on Emerson, and to go on about the fact that the linesman didn't flag it is idiotic. VAR gives onfield officials the scope to hold off on decisions knowing VAR will ensure the correct call is given, and so they give the benefit of the doubt to the aggressor. Without VAR they would be forced to make the decision in the moment and give the benefit of the doubt to the defender.
This was VAR working exactly as it is supposed to. The game was allowed to continue exactly as it would in a tight offside call, if there is a goal then it can be looked at. It drives me mad that managers like Dyche, who likes VAR, tries to twist it when it doesn't suit him. Ange is a breath of fresh air with his consistency - "I don't like VAR, and I accept that without it the wrong decision may have been made on the pitch, but who cares, maybe we go and score another goal ourselves if that is given... "
And there as a much softer foul given to Everton about 30 seconds earlier which lead to that attack.Agreed. It seems that Sean Dyche is unaware that the referee awarded the free kick to Spurs, it wasn't VAR, who merely advised the ref to have a look at it on the monitor. The Everton player stood on Emerson's foot and then kicked away his standing leg. A clear foul, by anyone's standards and the correct decision was reached, which is the important thing.
I didn't think Dyche even said it wasn't a foul which made it all the more unusual. He basically said the ref and linesman didn't give it as a foul so it should have been allowed. No mention that he did then look at it and decide it was a foul. Also no actual mention of it being a foul just complaining that the ref didn't give it in real time so should have been allowed.Anyone else getting annoyed with other managers constantly haranguing the 4th official these days? Dyche yesterday was a joke, barely a minute went past without him bellowing spittle in that direction.
His comments after the game about the disallowed goal and VAR decision were fucking dumb. There's no way anyone can look at that and say it wasn't a foul, or it was soft.
He's a big fan of VAR apparently, but not when used against his team.
That's just the way he plays. I acknowledge that people are always going to pass comment but Ange isn't about a nice, cosy middle ground. I know that he seems to befuddle pundits a bit but I think that many are quite conservative in their outlook and this is alien to them. He won't change his style. When there is a few minutes to go in extra time and we have a break on them (the break broke down poorly again), its then shocking to see Everton running at us 3 attackers against 2 defenders with Emerson trying to get back and make up the numbers. Don't get me wrong, I am not advocating sit back Mourinho or Conte style, but going for broke is not needed.
