I am surprised that people are surprised that the same team has been selected by Conte's best bud. Conte is still working from home. Lets hope his wifi connection doesnt give up.

Why expect different results with the same team?!

Up against a very impressive Brighton team today. That team needs to be at the top of their game for 90 minutes or we could be in trouble.

Have they even been at the top of their game for 45 mins so far this season?

SportingIndex have us to win! I just can’t bear to bet against us, though. Got money on Harry and Porro to score, coz I’m a mug…

Mason was trusted to manage us in a cup final and whatever the rights and wrongs of that decision and his brief spell as caretaker, it does seem weird he wasn’t trusted to do it alone again and is saddled to Stellini and his wonderful system.

If we really rate Ryan why not let him bring his ideas forward rather than the ones that aren’t working.
That, and a lot of other posts, still supposes that "Levy sacked Conte".

People can say what they want, but it's pretty obvious the club didn't want rid of Conte at this point and want(ed) to get to the end of the season before parting ways.

And there is obviously more going on than we have been told - either Conte is physically or mentally unwell, or he'd completely thrown in the towel, whatever, but to my mind there's some sensitivities that have gone on which have meant the club have let him go now.

That his staff are still here is pretty unprecedented, and don't come back with "yeah coz Levy's a tight ****" because like fuck that's ever mattered before when dismissing the manager and his staff. If he'd been "sacked" and brutally done in by the club then his staff wouldn't be here, and I can't see why they'd be sticking around and not asking to be released from their contract/put on gardening leave, and dissenting whispers would have hit the press by now if they were being forced to see out the season. My opinion, more has happened with Conte than is in the public domain and they're all trying to muddle through these last few weeks.

Normally I'd agree with you as the pessimism in match threads can be infuriating but in this instance, I think it's completely understandable.

There was absolutely no point in sacking Conte if we're just going to do exactly the same thing, just without him going mental on the touchline.
I mean, how invisible does Son have to be before he's benched?
How insipid do our performances have to be before the personnel or formation is changed?

You can't really blame people for being pissed off with it all at the moment.
I understand where you are coming from. I just think the Conte sacking was more than just playing style or results it was a rot set in at the club exacerbated by that rant. I think it’s frustrating on the surface to see an unchanged team but the tide will only turn slowly at the moment and we don’t see what happens day to day in training. We all have the right to be armchair managers myself included but let’s see how the next few games go

Well, this is going to be fun.

Left right and centre "we're going to lose", moaning about this and that player, the line up and general negativity all round and the usual just waiting for the scapes to make even the merest glimmer of an error.

And if, as you expect, we lose, if what you actually predict comes to pass, you will still make yourselves violently angry

I honestly wonder how bad Son has to play before he’s dropped. It’s frankly unbelievable that he starts. He’s been shocking all season. It’s like playing with 10 men

It's worse that they expect him to do what he's failed to do all season instead of playing his strengths and switching to 352

Hats of to these coach's.

They've handled Son brilliantly this season.

Mystic Meg would have confirmed that line up. Even after her death. And lack of predicting ability.

The management are making it quite clear that he will not be dropped under this regime.
