I honestly think that lack of dynamism from the WF is a big problem in games like this and has been all season. It’s literally all eyes on Maddison to create something. Werner to be fair has actually tried to take on the FB it’s just his final ball has been poor.

Over the last few years we’ve had an awful record in midweek fixtures. The 3-0 in the NLD and the Bergwijn inspired 3-2 at Leicester (both in 21/22) are the only midweek league wins I can think of since Pochettino was sacked! Going for the first time since November 2022 tonight so I’ll bring my singing voice and hopefully we’ll buck our recent trend of deflating defeats in midweek games.
