As much as pushing Son wide has somewhat fixed one issue in terms of covering and numbers in the middle, it’s also completely negated everything he was doing in the first half to be threatening.
He was in behind three or four times, since the change he hasn’t been once.

It's not totally the players you put in the system, but the system you put the players in imo. Get rid of the diamond and utilise the players we have for the right system - thats basic enough and Poch can't do it or won't.

That's fair, but I just straight up don't think that they're good enough at the moment either. The diamond is definitely crap, but winks and Sissoko aren't holding midfielders and both lack the attacking out out to play on the right or left of the three as well. You want players providing or defending in the three, and they don't really do either - just tend to recycle between themselves. As back ups I'm fine with them, but not as starters. Just a shame that lo Celso is injured and poch refuses to start Dier or even Skipp at DM.

Poch must be trying to let Eriksen play himself into form even though there's been basically no indication other than his cameo against Villa that it's coming. Lamela meanwhile is in a purple patch and languishes on the bench. Maddening.
