Team Form ___ Spurs WDLDW ___ Bayern WDWWW

We last met Bayern Munich during the 1983-84 UEFA Cup Cmpaign, knocking them out 2-1 on aggegate en route to winning the competition, the last trophy we have won in Europe. Both of Bayern's previous victories against us have come at home, with the German side failing to win either of their away visits to face us; 1-1 in October 1982 (Cuo Winner's cup) and 0-2 in December 1983 (UEFA Cup)

We have won each of our last four CL matches versus Geran opponents (all vs Borussia Dortmund), having won just one of our first such games (W1 D2 L1). We have 8 of our last 11 CL home games (L3), keeping a clean sheet in 3 of the last 4. In fact, we have won nine of our 12 CL group game stage home matches. We have kept 3 clean sheets at home in the CL last season, as many as in our previous 3 campaigns in the competition.

Bayern are unbeaten in 9 away CL games (W6 D3), they last went on a longer run between Oct 2012 and April 2014 (10 games). They are looking to become just the second side after PSG in October 2017 to score 2+ goals in six successive CL away group stage matchessince the competition changed its current format in 2003-04.

We have scored in 23 of our 25 CL group stage matches, only failing to score home and away against German side Bayer Leverkusen in 2016-17. Lucas Mours has scored 6 goals in 7 CL away appearances for us, however he is yet to find the net in 6 home games.

Bayern's Robert Lewandowski has scored in 39 different CL matches; only Ruud Van Nistelrooy (42), Karim Benzema (45), Raul (56), Lionel Messi (68), Cristiano Ronaldo (82) have scored in more individual contests.

They've started the season fairly well. And coutinho is looking like he did at Pool.

I fancy us though. 2-1 spurs.

We have already stuffed them (in a penalty shoot out) to win the Audi Cup.
.
I fancy our chances, at home for a win again.

I was at that match with me dad. What a night. Archibald and Falco scoring, Rumenigge missing a sitter from 3 yards out.

Our results are important and a win would be a great tonic but I always think that giving a good account if ourselves is better. Getting to the final of the CL contained good results otherwise we couldn't have done that but our success came in highlite reels more that dominating anything with our quality. I look for us to play good solid football. It doesnt have to always flow but we should get enough of it. We should get enough solid defensive work and fight from all of our players and maybe a few highlite reels will feel even better.
It's difficult to predict.Id go for a 1-1or 2-2 draw

If you watch the training video from today on Spurs facebook page there were 10 players training separately from main group. They were Lloris,Rose,Alderweireld,Vertonghen,Sissoko,Winks,N'Dombele,Eriksen,Son & Kane. So no right back. Aurier,Walker-Peters and Foyth were training with main group which included Parrot.

I admire the loyalty to Kane but come on. Lewandowski has got 10 goals under his belt in the league already, scored in every game and simply on another level. I went for a score draw and recon that would be a massive result. Draw away (Maybe sneak a win), win at home.

Probably lighter training because those are players that were left on the pitch after the red. I would be very surprised if Davies and Lamela didn't start.

No loyalty man, I have loyalty to Spurs not to a player... although if i were going to be loyal then Kane is that man... oh and Winks.

I wouldnt however say Lewandowski is on another level but he is definitely a super striker.

I very rarely fear play games against teams nowadays but I am concerned about tomorrow. If we beat them it really will be a fabulous result. We still owe them for losing to Chelsea in that final.
