Romero is quite obviously not fully fit. He was caught out vs Fulham by Mitrovic and again tonight for their second goal. He isn’t fully extending himself at times. As if he doesn’t trust his body. With the World Cup in 2 months we may not see the best of him till Xmas.

I was being quite general but I guess I mean not starting fast and looking to kill teams.

He's being relatively pragmatic and happy for us to reserve energy at times.

As the season goes on he'll want more and certain players won't be getting numerous chances.

I think we have all seen us play... Safe(?) for the first have, my issues is we need to be able to step it up at any point, and we just don't.

We had enough chances to win tonight many times over but sadly, we were fairly pathetic up front. Kane and Sonny have both completely lost their form. One of Harry's most lethal weapons is his passing but that's gone to hell lately.

Some great crosses by Perisic went begging, and even one from Emerson. Richarlison looked dangerous but he can't do everything on his own. Our second half was better than our first, but really, that's not saying much. We took Sonny off but we could just as easily have taken Kane off as well and we wouldn't have missed either of them.

My worry is with both Harry and Sonny so badly out of form, we're going to have to rely on Richarlison to score our goals, and without much help from anyone, he's going to struggle to deliver.

Not good.

Seriously what was all this pre-season Conte going to make us the fittest yet we run around each 1st half like we've already done a marathon? Ah, but that's because Conte is letting them run over 1st half so we show our superior fitness and finish them off 2nd half? Not even mentioning we had a weekend to rest, seems every manager we have moans about schedule but when we actually have a break we come back worse... I would get infruriated if it hadn't happened 100 times before...

Has he over worked the team in preseason?

I remember under Poch we looked the same at the start of the season only to kick on in November. Trouble is, that’s when the World Cup is!

I get your point, but you would expect they will have 11 men behind the ball if your keeper hast it....

It's from CM when we pass it back and forth and then back to the fullbacks (who sit too deep) or cb's.

Gives the other team all the time they need to get back
I mean we dont release it quickly and hit them on the break!

You win some you lose some.

A defeat was always coming for us. There's only so long a team can go unbeaten in all comps till they need a reset.

I believe the team needed this loss to give them a kick up the back side as they were getting complacent of going unbeaten in so many games.

This is a blessing in disguise for me personally.

We look risk adverse across the pitch. It appears that everyone is shit scared to show any initiative in xase it doesn't come off. Conte has the hallmarks of a control freak.

Soooo, I called this one quite wrong

Only takes a result like that for it to start looking like we aren’t controlling games and are actually quite average

Kane and Son really need to sort their shit out

It happens. Still unconvinced by that midfield and without Son/Kane on form that shows all the more. Ah well.

Shouldn’t be playing then. Sanchez did perfectly fine put him back in if that’s the case. People talk like Romero is Xavi on the ball, if he’s not aggressively winning the ball and dominating opponents he’s worthless in the side.

I thought we started with intent just didn't quite get the ball into the right areas.

Second half, first 10 minutes we piled it on and had 3 moments (Emerson x 2) then went off it, then stepped up again when Kulusevski came on.

Then we seemed to tire.

Think we are just lacking sharpness in some areas because had we had that tonight we'd have scored in those moments we did step up.

I think it's silly to think we'll press teams for large periods, especially away from home and at this stage of the season.

We've won plenty of games this season by picking our moments and we will continue to. It's football, we will lose a couple along the way.

time will tell whether this is a blessing in disguise but it also wouldn’t surprise anyone in the slightest if results start going the way of Nuno and Jose. The performances have been really bad lately and unfortunately you can’t just flick a switch and have a reset. We had a full week to prepare for that and we produced that.

So you didn’t watch the last 20 mins but you then jumped on the internet to post about said game on an anonymous Internet forum? ???
Ditched the game at 70 to read a book to my son in bed. Looked at the score at FT and saw we’d lost 2-0. Found the 70 minutes I watched very boring and monotonous so posted about it. Cheers though.

It's just so spurs that we have two top class forwards and yet both are struggling.
For those who thought that this team could go close for the league including some of the media seriously need to think again.
The two man midfield doesn't work maybe try a 3-5-2 yes we have almost zero creativity but teams wouldn't find it so easy to cut through us

Would put that more down to being knackered emotionally and physically than anything else. 92nd minute and just conceded, don’t think it’s more than that.
