Rank corruption. Ref and VAR wanted to change the result so they changed it.

Climb in on Conte all you want but I don’t think we’re watching a sport here.
A top side makes this a 2-0 without the bullshit that goes with.
Conte out

Monday night kick off at Goodison against a team, and half a city, desperate to stay in the premier league.

Should be an easy win for our mentality monsters and world class “coach”

You would think 3 goals would be enough to seal the points to a Southampton team that struggles to score. Our defence is an absolute disgrace and Dier hasn’t got a clue where he should be.

I've not seen the game so can't comment on your Dier comment in this one but I've said before look how often we concede 2 goals a game (on average) under multiple different managers; that means our forward line goes into every game knowing we likely need to score at least 3 to be in with a shout of winning the game.

Point being it's not formations or managers any longer (granted I don't think the current formation does us any favours, can anyone remember the days when we absolutely used to boss the midfield?)

At the minute like you said it’s chaos and we don’t have many other options? Sanchez!

Or, maybe, when Conte isn't looking, ditch the back three system that everyone(?), players included, detests?

I know it's not going to happen, because he's such a stubborn narcissist and all, but I can dream.

Im on my way back to the car from the game. In short, Im seething.....Im seething at Conte for coaching the team in such a way that they are so passive, Im seething at Levy for being the custodian of a club that cares more about Beyonce concerts than having 2 quality CB's, Im seething at a VAR system that is so contemptible that all one can do is laugh.

In addition, I see a lot of fans saying we have a "weak mentality". I don't agree, what we lack is TECHNICAL ABILITY.....Dier, Perisic, Davies, Hojbjerg are all technically GARBAGE. Our ability to retain possession comfortably and control games is non-existent...we are a team of cloggers with the exceptional Kane to dig us out of a hole and mask how technically inferior we are to most teams.

Lastly, Conte needs to go now. No point waiting until summer Enrique is free, Gallardo is free, Tuchel is free...Poch is free (wouldn't be my number 1 choice, but that's a separate point) bring in a new manager and let them use the rest of this season to start to undo the negative football mindset that has been coached into them. Let the new manager use the rest of the season to change to an attacking formation...using Sarr and Skipp and a Kulu as the AM. Let the new manager, play Danjuma rather than sulkily and childishly not playing him because he was a club signing.

FWIW, I'd like us to bring in Enrique. I know some of our fans have said "but he'll want a complete overhaul"....GOOD! That's what we need....get rid of the poor technique cloggers and bring in technical players who can play his attacking, progressive, front foot football. Ditto Gallardo....I'd be very happy with him also.....a manager who plays on the front foot with constant movement.

I'd be reluctant to see Poch back because I feel he'd want to prove a point with existing players (GLC, Tanguy, Sanchez) whereas I strongly feel we need to completely renew the squad.

We've got a couple of weeks to calm down, but right now, I have zero desire to see this team play again, (which makes me sad given Ive been a STH for 35 years).

Oh, and did I mention that I'm seething?.................

Perisic, Skipp and Forster based on today, overreacting a bit with Skipp and who really cares about perisic and Forster with their combined age of a grandmother but when they all play together its genuinely tough to watch.

We were 2-1 up and Dier was literally playing at walking speed. We have no ability to go from defence to midfield, neither of the cm’s show for the ball in positions where you can transition to attack. Absolutely sick of the lot of them.

Richarlison has gone off crying two more times than he has premier league goals, turning into an awful signing. Had to 180 in the summer and pretend to like him and he’s given nothing to show that it was a flip worth making.
I think you are a bit harsh on Skipp and Forster to be fair. Forster I thought was pretty decent in the sticks and I though Skipp was the more available CM and moved the ball around well at times. I thought Hojbjerg was fairly poor today, hiding at times and continuing to pass backwards.

We were shit all game in fairness. Just fed up of these awful tactics.
I’m sorry but to me this has nothing to do with tactics and has everything to do with players who don’t have the right attitude. Too many games are like this were there is a total lack of intensity and desire. We are a club completely devoid of a winning mentality.

I would take Tuchel personally, but that will be the third Chelsea manager we’ve had.

Not skipp's fault he looks to go one direction but no-one is to show so he has to quickly go back and risk a tackle

I'm looking at Everton v Chelsea, their positionin is almost identical to how we positioned vs Southampton. Says it all

I was overly critical of Skipp as he was getting back to match fitness but it is fairly rare to see him lose the ball even when crowded. His decision making is generally pretty decent.

Perisic has technical ability, but lacks any form of engine.

We just don't control games.

I reckon it will be 1 point from 4 away games against Leicester, Wolves, Saints and Everton. The players look liked frightened children as soon as they come under the slightest pressure.

I listened to “A View From The Lane” podcast Thursday, and one of the guys from The Athletic thought it would be a draw, and from that result, would see the end of Conte. It wouldn’t be the most disastrous of a result (draw) and would allow a more attack minded coach come in now, and try and make 4th with what games we have left. He maintained a win would give Conte a stay of execution. It’s so clear Conte dosent want to be here.

I think Tuchel is more flexible with his teams, I just think some of his football is fairly dull. Maybe a bit harsh but I am not overly keen.
