I like the guy and loved him in our shirt, but the negative comments are more an indication that we have moved on significantly as a club and it just seemed like a weird suggestion based on where we are and where we want to be!

Don't make excuses for it. There's no need to call him shit.

I agree it was a weird suggestion but to label Livermore a water boy and suggest he's only fit to hand out towels for us is unnecessarily disrespectful toward him in my opinion

It was a joke ffs - obviously not as funny as suggesting we bring Livermore back, but all said in jest.
This is a football messageboard not the WI, so perhaps we should stop getting our knickers all twisted over something so rediculous?

I'd have had Livermore on the pitch ahead of Paulinho every time. He was on the England fringes for a while as well.

No, but he really is showing himself to be a very capable player. Much much better than the one that left us, and by far Hull's best CM, ahead of players such as Mason and Huddlestone. Good on him!

I don't see the need for all the condescending comments about Livermore

He was a youth product and life long supporter who loved the club

He always gave his all for the club

He wasn't shit and he isn't shit, he's just not as good as the excellent options we already have in his postion nor do we lack cover there

He's not someone we should sign at this time but I don't understand all the water boy comments mugging him off like he was shit like Gary Doherty

Calling Doherty shit is not condescending - if anything it's complimentary of his performances for us

I was kind of surprised we sold him, tbh. I thought he was a tidy defender and still young. I dont remember many gaffes.

Why spend £10m on Jake, when Jamie O'Hara is on a free from the BB house.... He showed passion...

I'd say no to signing Livermore but we should test the waters with a 40m bid for Huddlestone

He was a scapegoat here for a while but I never remember him doing anything on the putch that really warranted the abuse.
