Ryan Sessegnon has undergone surgery to his right hamstring following an injury during an Under-21s match.

The 23-year-old will continue to be closely monitored by our medical team to determine when he can return to training.

So that’s both hamstrings now?

If he was horse he would be put down. Such a terrible time for the lad at such an important time in his career.

I’m starting to face the glaringly obvious: he will never be a top PL-player. Not for us, not for anyone else.

Feel for the kid, but his body just doesn’t seem to be able to handle the physical strain of training (let alone play) for an upper half of the table PL club.

After years of not playing, but constantly breaking down/getting injured, it would be mind blowing if he came back and had the career his early year(s) with Fulham hinted at.

Hopefully he’s been smart with his £58K/week(!); he’s made more money this season than most of us do for a lifetime.

Hard not feel gutted for him. This has all the hallmarks of a career ended before it really began because of injuries. Certainly at the top level. I hope not for his sake obviously but eh, he can't catch a single break. It's been 5 years of constant injury. 60 club games played since 2019. And this is after he seemed to turn a corner a couple of years back with the loan etc.

It's got to click for him soon or at the very least whatever he can achieve in football will be somewhere other than Spurs you'd think. It would be a real pity as with Ange I think he finally has a manager who really could utilise his talents brilliantly in his system.

I saw this bumped to the top of the section and my heart sank thinking it was a new injury. great news for him and best wishes this is the start of his return

same i thought he just went through another surgery but so happy that he played 90 minutes. I genuinely wish him nothing but the best as it isn't his fault that he is just super injury prone. hope he can refind that form that made him such a hot commodity at fulham all those years ago.
