Anyone know how Kessie’s playing this season? I know Milan are top and he seems a regular for them we’re being linked to him atm I remember we were linked a few years ago. Would he be an upgrade on sissoko?

This season I don't know, but he is scoring a lot of goals and it seems Milan fans are very happy with him. He is still young but he's been around a while and was generally seen as a mild disappointment before this season. Big things were expected of him, and Milan pulled off quite a coup with signing him, but he was young and expensive. This is his fourth season for Milan and he's only 23, it might be that people were impatient at first and has just needed time to become the player people thought he could be.

I never liked the word 'upgrade' for players because it's never that simple. But I would say they are stylistically not exactly the same. Though they have a lot of traits in common. Kessie is a much more attacking, box to box player whose biggest strength is running between the lines, his weaknesses tend to be poor decision making in the final third. He has a real physical presence though. So I guess in many ways he does have some similarity with a younger Sissoko, but I'm not sure how he'd do in that sort of mid-block / low-block stuff that we've seen Sissoko do recently. Though Kessie has played CB before, so maybe he could do that sort of job too. Not sure.

Apparently, he is playing well, but haven't watched him myself. I'm not sure we need him, and he is likely to be expensive (I mean Milan paid 30m euro for him way back when, and suspect they will want a sizable profit), but he's young and talented.

He's basically what @C0YS is describing. Still a 'raw talent' but has taken some big steps this season and is one of Pioli's trusted players. Box to box midfielder with good physic and likes to dribble out of danger. Sometimes good sometimes maybe shit

Some proper shithousery. Pirlo not happy with that. Addressed it at the post match interview.

Serie A leaders AC Milan, who have taken the lead after just SIX SECONDS at Sassuolo.

A new record, of course.

Above was taken from BBC website, no idea about the goal yet.

Juventus trashing Milan 3-1 just after Inter lost. I thought Milan would win this after Juventus recent runs ?

Good game. Chiesa really is something special. He's got bags of potential. Dybala had a solid game which is really good to see considering how he's been struggling this year. He's picking it up again.

I do love Kulusevski. Another really promising player. Pirlo has a great squad here, I just don't know whether he himself is up to the task as he's so green.

After a short stint in Qatar, Mario Mandzukic is back in Italy. Nice to bolster Milan's attacking line

Zlatan being Zlatan and gets a second yellow. Heated argument with Lukaku. Inter players had to hold him back. Zlatan standing in the background and laughing

“Go do your voodoo shit, you little donkey”
