Not sure I would call him a winner tbh, great player yes, but really, there has to be a more accurate term to describe good players in shit teams than winner?

I like Parker, still has a season or two in him at the very highest level despite his all action style.

Would of loved Diarra, but if it turns out to be just Parker I'll still be happy enough.

On the flipside, shit players can be winners, I'd say the term winner applies more to attitude than ability. I'm not convinced by Parker on either front in all honesty, admitedly I've not seen too much of him.

A player of either exceptional ability or attitude (particularly attitude) would surely be wanting to play at a higher level than Newcastle and West Ham, yet he has history of chasing the money rather than glory.

Early articles suggesting loans to them, which would make most sense.

Don't want our youth to be tainted in that way though.

Thats a good point, Parker is that bit older than Diarra...and perhaps he wouldn't threaten Sandro anyway...but would be more prepared to come in and out of the side than Diarra :shrug:
