Yeh couldn't they have got completely the wrong end of the stick. Maybe Baldini is going back to London because everything is sorted. Do people expect him to leave with Soldado in his suitcase?

Nah, this is Spurs. Something has changed. Sounds like Levy has (again) moved the goalposts on a deal as is reported so many times and we have lost it.

Need to move on now and find a Plan B (if there even is one) as the season is fast approaching.

Surely they wouldn't scrap the talks when we are so close with the numbers, there is a difference of a few million, surely the negotiations would carry on.

I seriously hope that Levy didn't pull the 'Rossi' switch like I was fearing last night.

This could still happen people don't lose faith

Somewhere in North London theres a small but powerful bald bloke, having an overseas conference call.

Some poor and desperate Spanish blokes, who need the money far more than they can afford to lose the deal are trying to persuade DL to meet their valuation in full....

Unfortunately for them the only response they are getting is the sound of scratching finger nails on a blackboard.....

I don't think Levy changed the offer- I think Valencia just expected them the next day to increase the offer to €30million but we didnt

However, if he did change the offer :banghead:

Levy brinkmanship, if we're happy to do 26+4 later, but not 30 guaranteed. He's just trying to call their bluff.

Is it worth losing him for a potential 4m, if its just a matter of how and when?

If he decides to pull out of this, I'm gonna fucking strangle him.

AVB to Levy: Hey, how did negotiations go?
Levy: Well, we put a really good offer out there that we thought would be accepted...
AVB: Okay, so did they accept?
Levy: Well, no. See, I realized it was a good offer so I changed it.

Levy can be frustrating at times.
Squabbling over a poxy €4m

Should've had this one in the bag.

Ridiculous really.

We had a slim chance of being title contenders if we managed to wrap up the Soldado deal. Almost a certainty for top 4 finish.
Now
5th. 1pt behind the wankers across the road again.

I suppose the positive is that Valencia will come crawling back to us eventually

Surely it is brinkmanship from both sides.

Think it is unrealistic for us to submit an offer for a teams talisman and for it to be accepted strightaway.

Its not over yet.

We just need to remain patient.

surely valencia must've given us some encouragement for negotiation, if they were set on €30m(buy-out clause) then why would baldini be out there?
