Everyone was outstanding, only mistake was Sanchez for the penalty, still need that cb and I think we are onto something special

Interesting to compare it to last year when we lost and then drew at home (but were pushed back into our own half for much of the game). What changed? Part of it surely is the next signings (PEH especially made a huge difference, and Ndombele like a new signing)

Serge. Although I'm well aware its probably Hojbjerg. Was everywhere.

Barring Sanchez's error, everyone was absolute quality today. Son, Kane, Ndombele, Hojbjerg, Aurier...so many fantastic performances. Didn't think we were capable of a performance like that without Lo Celso in the side so fair fucking play to Jose.

Love how much better both Davies and Aurier look now there's genuine competition. Looks like we now have 4 very decent fullbacks when before had 2 average ones. Shows how important squad competition is. We also look so much better with 2 genuinely attacking fullbacks - massively improves us as an attacking proposition.

Also thought it was telling how Utd focused Neville + Tyler were - when Ndombele was linking the midfield beautifully they lazily mentioned 'think he might stay?' No mention of the fact that he was clearly back in Jose's plans, no mention of his brilliant technique, just one throwaway comment. Sums up how blinkered they are.
Unfortunately for most of the game it was effectively a post mortem solely looking at Utd from Taylor and (understandably) Neville but what Gary did say is that we were dominant even before the sending off and felt we would go on and win.

This was a massive, massive result for obvious reasons but the quality of the squad at Jose's disposal now is frightening and more importantly, we are playing with real nous and cunning that all winning teams have.

Ratings, Hojbjerg for me was superb and fulfilled his remit with aplomb capped off by the oh so wonderful through ball to Aurier.

After a shaky start down the right, we really settled and on the break we are as good as any team right now which will be underlined even further when Bale gets game time.

All in all, one to savour lads!

There’s about 5 different spellings of Højbjerg in this one thread. Never change, SpursCommunity.

Having said that, his name deserves to be mentioned a lot today, when he sits as the deepest midfielder (even dropping between the two Cb’s today), he is the player we have needed. Plus a beaut of an assist. Well done.

Aurier. I've been a big critic, but he was amazing today. Some of the covering he did for Sanchez was exceptional.

Special mention to Ndombele workrate especially the first half. One decade ago, this performance will be legendized into a special edition DVD :) everyone deserved a 10 today.

Moving forward , it's "lads its just united"

This mentality will win us silverwares.

10s all round. From Mourinho to the players. Best performance bar the first minute I have seen. Even before the red we dominated, created chance after chance.

Great performance, score line did not flatter at all, if anything should have been 8 or 9
Sky commentary so biased though only about how bad united were..... should have had 9 men on the pitch as well, shaw tackle was atrocious.
PEH MOM closely followed by Aurier Harry son and Lamela just for shit housery..... Ndombele continues to impress also and Reguilon has changed whole team dynamic.....

Oh and still had CV and bale to come......

Double oh - GLC as well

Got to be something waiting for us that’s silver and shiny this year?????

Harry Kane was ridiculous today. He dictated play and absolutely bossed that United defence. They didn’t know how to handle him. It was an incredible performance, so good to see him this fit and sharp again.

Everyone else great, special nod to PEH who is clearly what we needed in the middle.
