The positives:-

Ndombele’s vision and Son’s movement... that’s about all I can muster.

The negatives:-

Winks looks brilliant at times and terrible at others. Somewhere between mason and xavi.

Verts seems to have fallen apart.
Toby is fading away from his best.

Ndombele looks excellent and half arsed at the same time, struggled getting back into position when we lost possession. Needs to get himself in shape or up his defensive effort.

Aurier looked good for a period and then got absolutely rinsed second half.

Rose is trying his heart out but in a slightly misguided way.

Lloris sits too deep in his goal.

The press worked early doors but then, much like everything else in the game, became disjointed and was easy to move past which left us exposed time and again.

hopefully a freak occurrence and a kick up the arse that we need to get focused and rid ourselves of the idea we can coast to victories...

Sissoko was our best 90 minute player by some considerable margin I thought.

Singling out individuals doesn’t really help at present as it’s clear the system/application as a collective isn’t working. We have only really controlled one game this season so far and have been incredibly easy to carve open.

A major issue we have is full back. Rose/Aurier were positionally indisciplined and both lack the engine to get about the pitch (Rose especially is labouring).

Winks/Sissoko/Ndombele isn’t the right blend and they were pulled all over the place. None of them is a natural holder and it shows.

We simply have to press better than we do. For that reason, Lamela has to start most games.

Jan/Toby/Lloris are declining before our own eyes. Appreciate Foyth and Sanchez aren’t at the level, but they need to be backed now as we look to the future.

Lots to fix and no simple solution. Having a squad of players who are all committed would help.

Luckily Brighton comes around quickly, hoping we come out like scolded cats. And ditch the fucking diamond.

I've said this for some time now Sanchez should be our number one CB . I am serious , Vertonghen Toby partnership is totally shot.

Totally agree with this. You need a pacy defender and his errors will so with game time but now he has to stop this shower of shit if he comes in.

He's useless. I love his effort but he's playing in the middle of the park and offers nothing except hard work. Not good enough

I find this spot on.

a centre mid needs to either transition the ball forward, control the play, shield the back four and hopefully a mixture of all. Sadly sissoko doesn't do any of those well enough (despite effort) which leads to a lot of energy without purpose. Especially in a two man CM with Winks i feel it's a huge weak point in the team. In a 3 i can see him being the engine but you kinda got to do 'something' in the modern game.

good squad player btw. invaluable in the way he can fill a number of roles and positions. I'm more angry we play Winks as the pivot when we have no DM cover. great when have the ball but leads to huge issues when we don't as he's dragged out or not aware enough to fully protect - i love his chasing further up though.

i massively miss the days of Wanyama/Dier with Mousa/modric etc. I remember going to Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and to Juve (even through we lost) and watching us OWN the middle of the park. wtf is going on now, as it's really hurting the back four

Wtf had a mare the past few days so spurs were very far down on the list of priorities so just seeing the score line but 7-2?!?!

What the fuck happened. Should I bother watching the match?

Watch the first half and it explains how we lost.

Was directly involved in most of first half attacks including the assist for Son's goal. And personally responsible for breaking down multiple attacks on their right hand side helping out Rose who desperately needed it.

He might be "useless" but he wasn't last night and he was clearly our best 90 minute player.

It's ony the last 10 minutes that's diabolical. And a two minute stretch where Aurier and Winks got caught for 2 goals to put us 1-4 down. We actually got ourselves back in with a tiny sniff at 2-4 and Eriksen had 2 chances. Then it all went to absolute bollocks.

First 35 minutes was the best attacking play we've seen in years. We were all over them and should have been 3 up tbf.

Exactly this. The scoreline doesn't tell the whole story. Shouldn't have conceded 7, individual errors. But we were nowhere near as bad as the scoreline suggests for the 90 minutes.

You guys are looking this from the wrong angle, this might very well be the match that fixes our whole season!

No way Poch, his coaching team and the real fighters within our squad (whoever they are) will not be feeling profoundly wounded after last night and finally remember once and for all that we are way better than this and that receiving such a trashing is a clear sign that we must start correcting our ways. We showed signs of this against Arsenal and Palace so we know we still got it, now it's just a matter of being dead serious about these changes we have to make and to cut all the silly mistakes that have been leading us all year long to concede so many goals. Foyth, Sessegnon and Lo Celso will be a very welcome and refreshing addition.

Sanchez has to be first choice CB from now on, we most allow him the time to fully command that position plus we need more pace in the team. To concede 7 goals at home 5 in one half is shocking we have serious issues. I would like Poch just to sideline a number of players not fully on board with he project and start a new era with Foyth Sessegnon Lo Celso Sanchez Walker-Peter Alli Kane Tanganga etc
