I refuse point blank to do this but I will say that our full backs are far more important to us than some on here think.
Thems my onions.

1 Levy
2 Poch
3 The team.
The position of FB is very important. Our players who fill those positions are not as important as choices for other positions.I refuse point blank to do this but I will say that our full backs are far more important to us than some on here think.

1) up to 4-5 games ago Kane's net contribution was valued at -1 or 2pts for every game played. What that says was if we had not played Kane we'd have been 2 points better off, his own goal took a win to a draw or draw to a loss and none of his goals were point defining goals, ie: goals that brought us points on their own.
2) For a long period in the beginning of the season Kane was carried by the team, scoring no goals at all. Yes he helped draw space etc... but another player could've done that.
3) In football, according to The Numbers Game: Why Everything You Know About Football is Wrong, preventing a goal is worth marginally more than scoring a goal. Sounds nuts but read the book for a better understanding.
4) Human psyche remembers individual momentous occasions more clearly and longer than repetitive mundane ones; so we remember goals more and easier because 1) there are fewer of them, 2) we celebrate every goal not every tackle or save.
5) Spurs have historically had a poor defence and been better at attacks, hence recent GDs of 5, 4, 20, 25, 9, 26, 0, 5, 3.
So by knowing the above the players most valuable to to us and earning us the most points are the GK, CBs, WBs, & CDM. You can throw in names and maybe Lamela's pressing from the front but in points gained these positions have earnt us more points than Kane.
Interesting post Michael, but whilst Kane's goals might not be points contributors, have the intangibles been considered such as the opening goal being the icebreaker that opens up a game, the equalising goal that changes the momentum of the game?
Would another player open the game up inthe same way Kane does with movement as intelligent as his? Would his work rate be comparable to Kane? We've all, at some point, waxed lyrical about the graft and intelligence of Kane off the ball, this is an intangible that can inspire a team to lift its game.
Don't get me wrong, I agree with you insofar as the more important players are concerned. You only have to look at the performance of Leicester's back 4 and Kante. In the games where Vardy wasn't performing, they were. 6 out of 7 games won 1-0 shows that the defence were far more influential to the win than the strikers, particularly as you even had defenders weighing in with goals.
But I feel you undervalue the effect that Kane has on this team with the intangibles. His value far exceeds his goal contribution IMO.

This team defends from the front though. Kane sets the standard with his work rate from the front.I agree but I'd still rank our defensive players as "more important" than Kane or any front player, but Kane is very important, just not the most important; hence why I ranked him around 5th or so

The stat thing you mentioned is nonsense too because Kane doesn't get points for Southampton away for example as we scored a 2nd goal but up until Kane scored his beauty Southampton were the better team. His goal changed the game
You don't think the thread cuts the mustard? But Toby had the better game.
Hugo was ridiculous.
I'm of a mind to declare this thread both stupid and impossible.
No disrespect to the op.
Yes agreed just don't get the under rating of Kanes importance to this teamBut Toby had the better game.

Well, I think drawing a list over players should be a piece of cake, even if we have to take the result with a grain of salt. Not for me Seconds.
Every player in this season has a Lasting place in our folklore.
They are all heroes.
