They're different kinds of players - people always seem to be comparing them but Rafa was much more action-packed in his play and got much further forward than Eriksen - he was a true no. 10, where Eriksen is more effective in a deeper role and works better out wide.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure we are allowed to have two creative players in our squad at the same time...

I was genuinely perplexed when he was sold. The guy was pure class and seemed to bring players performances up around him. If I remember correctly, wasn't Dempsey signed as 'replacement'?

One of the more baffling spursy decisions.

No idea what his form is like now mind, but if he's two thirds the player he was, then he's one third better than what we have.....

Dempsey wasn't signed as a replacement, but many fans viewed it that way hence why despite Deuce's 12 goals he wasn't viewed as important.

I think they are the same type because both are playmakers so essentially you can measure them by goals and assists.
In this regard VDV is much more effective. He also gets involved a lot more. Time is on Eriksen's side but he isn't anywhere close to being as good as VdV when he was with us.

And no I don't think you can accommodate 2 players who don't contribute much going back.
