I see what you mean but I guess it would have to be made public that no charge against any individual or the club was made as there was no evidence wouldn't it?
Not sure evidence matters that much anymore. J'accuse!

If there is evidence then naturally sanctions will occur.

Couple of bottles thrown an the pitch? Well, you don't get a present and hug from Santa Claus by doing things like that. It is not well mannered. But, for Gods sake, it was a derby and the temperature was hot. Let's not be too political correct. No one got hurt. It's not like the 80s anymore. PL games are safe and nice. We must not overreact.

You are so wrong - bottle being thrown acceptable nah it's not and monkey noises!!! Disgusting end of

Puts him in a difficult situation ? How the bloke is being abused at his place work even if he just thinks it, that's enough. Its disgusting. The announcement wasn't made just once so it continued we are in the wrong end of .

i honestly think we will be luck if the ground isn't closed for a game
But if nobody else saw it nobody else heard it and there is no television footage of any offence how can any action be taken? As for the multiple announcements, it was nothing to do with anything continuing it is just Premier League policy to repeat the message throughout the game. You see how misunderstandings can happen if you have become convinced it happened and kept on happening.

Where? The things thrown from behind the goal were coffee cups.

From where I was in row 11 East Lower there looked like at least one bottle on the pitch. Fair enough if I’m mistaken.

Although it doesn’t really matter. Players shouldn’t be having anything thrown at them.

bottles makes headlines, paper cups .. not so much.
This is the problem, I don't know where the bottle thing has come from unless it's that people see it from a distance and think bottles, I mean who would think paper cups? Anyway where in the new stadium do they hand out bottles? It happened right in front of me by the way.

I’m sorry but these comments are just wrong. Football is a huge global sport with the world watching on. I’m certainly no snowflake but it’s time more was done to eradicate this sort of attitude.

It's an easy assumption to make, see my previous post and you are right it was bloody idiotic and if they can see who threw them I expect they'll take action.

I can't believe your willing to condone it - the man heard monkey noises and that's enough. We have to accept any punishment and if that's points or ground closure then so be it. You can't accept behaviour like this its time to move on. and as supporters we have to stand up against it . We have prided ourselves to be above this its a sad say when we aren't and we shouldn't be sugarcoating this

it I could see a cup or bottle on the pitch from my seat

My last post on this, and then I gonna shut up. But, don't make this a bigger problem than it is. The stadium is a safe place to be, and there is zero tolerance for racism among us. PL in general is safe. The problem for english football is english supporters abroad when the english national team is playing. That's another discussion, but I just want to but it in perspective. And when it comes to this particular game and this derby in general, Chelsea are the problem, not us. Making fun of kids being gassed during holocaust.. What kind of people are they?

There are microphones all round the pitch, we know exactly when and where it happened and where Rudiger was.

The accusation is ‘monkey noises', if no proof emerges I don’t see why the club should be hammered. If proof does emerge any punishment is fair enough.

Were you at the game? I wouldn’t say I felt particularly safe where I was sat in and amongst our own ‘fans’. You cannot honestly say that our fans are good, everyone else is bad! The wenger song, sol Campbell song, Alonso song. The list goes on. There shouldn’t be a place in society let alone football for this kind of behaviour!

There will be no ground closure or points deduction so let's rule that out.
Last week a Man City fan was clearly seen to be making monkey gestures at Utd players, what was their punishment?
Last season, several Chelsea fans could be clearly seen screaming racist abuse at Raheem Sterling, what was their punishment?
You can bet your life that Sky would've been poring over the footage for every single camera they had at the game...and what has come to light so far?

You seem to have had your head in the sand about 'being above this'...no-ones sugarcoating it, abuse of that nature shouldn't be tolerated, but racism in general society seems to be having a resurgence over the last few years, why you'd think our fanbase would be exempt from that is a bit daft.

And when you say we have to stand up to it, what exactly do you suggest we as fans do, I'm guessing it'll be virtue signalling on the internet?

No mate Chelsea weren't the problem today it was Spurs supporters - we have had that moral high ground for years but today that has gone and we should all be ashamed.

so evidence isn't necessary?
