Bale's not fit - hardly played at all this season - is not a proven prem LB - until I see otherwise, for me we need a LB as a priority

last season lots of Spurs fans made the mistaken assumption that the injured King was going to be our main CB for this season - worryingly I think our management may have made the same mistake - I hope the same scenario doesn''t develop with Bale

For me our priorities were the same last summer as thy are now. If we want to stop shipping goals we have to acquire a quality CB, a quality goalkeeper and now a left back too. (I like Lee but Ramos clearly doesn't. Bale is not a very good defender and Ekotto is even worse. Gilberto doesn't seem much better defensively either).

If we want to compete with the top 4 then we must add quality creativity to our midfield. And, if we add creativity to our midfield, we will need to balance that with a quality CM grafter.

One of the above (preferably the CM or CB or both) would be a leader type.


I think in Lennon and Malbranque we have good right side options.
I also think that in Bale and Gilberto we can probably struggle through at LM.
In an ideal world we are looking at GK, CB, LB, CMD, CMA. They are the definate priorities, anything else is a case of improving what's fairly OK.

I would also sell Bent asap and replace with someone of better technical ability.(Not hard).

2. If Berba leaves then a world-class striker
3. Defensive/Attacking/Creative midfielders (minimum 2)
4. Right winger (if Lenon leaves)
5. Left winger (even if Steed stays)
6. A back-up striker (we only have one back-up in Bent atm)
7. A proven/world-class center defender

.........and last but not the least ladies

A quality coach for our defense.
