Are you for real?Does anyone else wonder why the team most opposed to playing again in neutral venues suddenly announced 3 positive tests the day before the premier league meeting?
I personally smell a rat here

Dudu you say " let it go " well the reason I come on to this forum is to air my views however deluded they may be and also if we all agree to the status quo we will never have discussion and argument which for me is healthy .
That is why I will never let go of my view that the " battle of the bridge " cost us big time to what extent we will never know and as for "let it go " I am still of the view that in 1963 against Benfica the bent referee and two disallowed goals cost us the champions league in its form at the time . That will let you know I am not one for letting things go and I enjoy discussing different views to mine and have on occasions been made to change my stance on things . But on this I stay firm no matter who or how many try to shoot me down .
I know that this might not be a popular opinion but why can't they just end the season with no european competition next year. Just take a year off for everyones sake. Players are being put in terrible positions to get infected or to play themselves into an injury by not having the proper fitness levels when we resume. At the end of the day players are people and I truly want their safety to be first priority over everything.

All this to me is crazy. Just give Sky / BT / Amazon an extra year on their broadcasting contract. Pro rata the rate to be paid and start again when the world has stopped going mad. Lets get people back to work, work out antibody testing, etc. Much more important things.
Brighton was a CV hotspot a few weeks ago, totally plausible.Does anyone else wonder why the team most opposed to playing again in neutral venues suddenly announced 3 positive tests the day before the premier league meeting?

Because while that would possibly appease the TV companies, and good point about foreign TV already mentioned, it would mean clubs would still face a long period without income. Without being able to make a reasonable call on how long we need to wait to restart there's no way at this point in knowing how long or large that no income window will be.All this to me is crazy. According to Govt guidelines, football is about to kickoff as none of them acan do theirs jobs from home.
Because clubs have begun regrouping there have been new cases, Brighton report three cases and Dresden have cases and so have had to isolate the squad again. This is what is going to happen all over. Even if they start to play the final games they won't finish them. The government has now told people to go back to work and the same thing will happen to them, there will be a rise in cases again.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see the government say some professional sports can restart when they issue their guidance today. The PL will already of been briefed.
Televised Subbuteo. Champion walks away with all the little plastic cups and the broken players, that'll pay the bills. It really does looks unlikely that all the remaining games will be played in time so i propose one massive game of Wembley, at Wembley, the Wembley of all Wembleys. Each team nominates a player to represent them (i reckon Kane or Moura for us) and we stick someone like Neuer or Buffon in goal. Winner gets 19 points and it goes down by position until the worst placed gets 1. Easy, done in one place in an afternoon, everyone has an opportunity to get the points they need and we can all move on.
