From a selfish perspective, it gives us extra time for Sonny and Harry to get back.

Although I think it'll end up being cancelled altogether if things carry on how they are.

Good. Right choice, although they never should have released that statement last night saying it was on.

Also, the break from watching us will be nice

If it does I reckon it will be behind closed doors. But it's only 3 weeks away. England will be in a far worse state then.

Definitely wont start again at the beginning of April, even behind closed doors isn't viable when the virus has hit plays and staff at 3 PL clubs. The season is over folks, How the FA and UEFA deal with this will be interesting.

Whilst the circumstances aren't nice, watching the season get abandoned for Liverpool fans would be hilarious. They must be panicking like crazy right now.

If it does restart, having Kane and Son back could actually be a huge lift for the team

I personally don't see it commencing in April but it's official now.

Seeing that other countries now are shutting restricting public transportation, cancelling concert etc. for a longer period of time, I don't see that the EPL will commence in April. The Covid virus will peak in the month of May (allegedly) here in Europe so....

And they were going to have won it in March :D

That said I would quite like to be in their position. The headline writers will love the 'Spurs poor run continues into X weeks'

If it resumes April 4th. First game for liverpool is away to City. If they win that they win the league...

Exactly it will peak in a month and stay like that for at least a month. I reckon the EPL just didn't want to make an drastic choices. It will be reviewed closer to the date and delayed again at least a month. I guess there has been no final decision about the euros ether so when that gets pushed back it will allow the EPL to properly reschedule.

What a mess.

But how can the league possibly catch up on the lost time. If I’m not mistaken, players contracts expire on 1st June meaning that some clubs won’t be able to play them unless they extend them by a month.

can only think that cancelling this season is the only way to go which would be the best outcome that I can think of if it means Liverpool don’t win the league!

I reckon the season is over. 3rd of April is three weeks away and I don't think things will have gotten better by then.
