Eriksen starts for Man U. Will make a huge difference for them. Gives them a brain and knits things together

Depending on how fit he is and how far he’s allowed to push himself they’ll be pushing West Ham & the scum for 5th

Looks like he’s playing up front! ???

If Brighton had a better attacking threat than welbeck they could be 2 or 3 up here. Much the better team

United still look shit which is good. No idea why they're putting Eriksen in a position where he can be totally marked out of the game. I would want him deeper and on the ball as much as possible.

Eriksen as a false 9 is the sort of big brain move that new managers usually try in their first matches in the PL, then quickly get a rude awakening. The type of decision that ETH could get sacked over. State of that team.

Potter deserves a top 6 club. I'll be honest if he managed Arsenal they would be a very big threat.

Is Paul Tierney going all in as Mike Dean's successor with that buzzcut?

United are still very fragile at the back.

The issue for Ten Hag is he is used to having technical players at the back and building from the back is very crucial to how his teams play. However, Maguire, Fred and McTominay can't play quickly. They don't play with their heads up, can't play first time passes quickly and tend to have heavy touches.

Brighton have grasped that and are now pressing them more aggressively in the build up which is causing high turnovers.

Either United are going to catch them out, like they did a moment ago, or Brighton are going to do better with one of these turnovers and score.

But this is far from a ETH team so far
