At that time I would have preferred him over Nuno. Not sure if he would have done a worse job here, but it’s certainly possible!

Yeah if I was to guess he wouldn't have done a worse job than Nuno but I still thought it was mad at the time for someone with such little experience to have been a consideration. Anyway, certainly not worth debating considering where we are and who we now have :D

Be interesting to see how Brighton do now that they've lost their two best players in cucurella and bissouma
Yeah I expect Brighton to have a bit of a rocky spell between now and the World Cup, but to ultimately be fine and look good in the 2nd half of the season once they’ve adapted to life after Bissouma & Cucurella.

Utd are much more of a question mark. Shame that Melissa Reddy has essentially been appointed Man Utd PR Officer on Sky Sports.

Did they ever buy a striker? not kept up with their dealings. But yeah they were two huge players for them
They got 18 year old second striker Julio Enciso from Libertad, 20 Yr old left winger Simon adingra from nordsjaelland, and levi colwill (CB) on loan from chelsea

I know nothing about them but they wont cut it. They have about 80m from the Bissouma and now the Cucurella sales so I imagine they will get in two or three

Jolinton as Dembele reborn continues to be a thing. I like Eddie Howe and like what he’s done with Joelinton but I can’t abide oil slavers…
They were good yday from the limited highlights Sky showed, Joelinton, Saint Maxim, Bruno G, Wilson and Almiron were good and Bottman didn't play either, top half possibillity

They'll still be a dangerous team. This game might have come to early for them though.

Eriksen starts for Man U. Will make a huge difference for them. Gives them a brain and knits things together

Depending on how fit he is and how far he’s allowed to push himself they’ll be pushing West Ham & the scum for 5th

Will be interesting to see Bruno and Eriksen in the same 11. I feel like they will both occupy the same spaces

Ronaldo and Varane benched. Rashford striker?

Also not having Eriksen at 14. That's just not right.

Brighton still having Wellbeck lead their line after selling Bissouma and Cucurella for big money would be fucking depressing for their fans and manager.

they were so good last year and desperately needed a new striker to give them a scoring edge…

Won't really see how United under EtH will fare in the league today. Brighton are a very technical side, I really feel that United are going to struggle this season. Not enough steel in the team and the signings and targets do not make me feel EtH has a grip of the challenges that will face him.

Sancho/Eriksen/Bruno F give them plenty of creativity, Interested to see how Martinez does. Would have been good to see how they faired with Malacia, Varane, and Martinez in the back line. The bench is pretty weak though, a thin squad. They need a top draw Centre Mid. I would think they are about six players short of a squad that can compete. But fully expect them to play much better organised football than previously

Square pegs in round holes for United already and that bench look light on attacking options!
